[The camera flickers on, and Kurt is there, directly facing the camera. He's sitting in a rather modern-looking white chair in his room, with one leg delicately crossed over the other, and his hands folded in his lap. Since all of the evidence of horrible makeovers and other things that shall not be discussed is gone, he's opted to just proceed ( Read more... )

...I guess I'd like to join except I don't actually sing very well.

You should join anyway. It's not about being able to sing well - it's fun. At home, glee club wasn't just a club. It was an escape from the traumas of high school to a pseudo-family where none of it mattered.

Besides, every voice is important, even a background vocal, and there are other things to do too, like costumes. And our glee club doesn't even have a name yet.

Costumes? I'm good at that.

Of course - costumes are what set show choirs apart from the rest, really. ...Well, aside from the dance numbers. But costumes are essential, and we'll have so much more freedom with that here than we did at my high school. They were severely lacking in magic closets there, after all.

Choir? Stellar doesn't know of 'choir'... but Stellar likes to dance.

A choir is...it's a group of people who stand and sing together. A show choir is like that, except there's usually choreographed dance numbers.

You're welcome to come. We can always use dancers.

A woman named Jean said she would come, so it's likely. I look forward to seeing both of you there.

Glee club, huh? Sounds like a blast. I'll be there- you need any musical accompaniment?

We do! That would be great - we don't have any at the moment. What do you play?

Sitar.

...Really now. That's interesting. Sadly, being from the cultureless wasteland that is Lima, Ohio, I don't think I've ever seen a sitar outside of pictures. We'd love a sitar player in our glee club though. Absolutely.

[Coraline, for fashionably inclined minds who want to know, is going to take the entire month of October as an excuse to wear stripy orange-black leggings, her pointy witch hat, and her atrociously clashing 'C' Weasley Sweater.

Because October is the best excuse to be a witch for a whole month.]

Yes yes yes! I'm gonna be there this week, Kurt! What are we gonna sing?!

[Kurt...isn't sure he approves of the sweater (LASJDLKA IT CLASHES), but far be it from him to stop a young girl making a fashion statement. Besides, that hat is fabulous and he loves her stripey leggings.]

I'm not sure yet. I have a few ideas, but I wanted to see what sort of people would be expressing interest....or, if anyone would express interest, but that doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. It might just be introductions with "auditions", of sorts - everyone will get in of course, but it will show what kind of voices we have to work with.

Though clearly, with all of these different worlds, there is a lot of music to expose people to, so tribute weeks are a definite possibility. Like to Lady Gaga. Or Madonna. Or Britney Spears. ...And Sing-A-Long Sound of Music would be coming up around this time at home, so there's always that.

So...Do I need to pick a song to audition with?

You might want to think of something to sing, yes.

It should be fun, if we can really get it going.

Would you like to join us? ...There really aren't enough high school students to keep it exclusively high school students anyway.

I am afraid I am not too musically inclined. [ unless it classical Japanese or anime-related ] But if you need any other help, I will be glad to offer it.
