Sadly no, it's a reference to the colors that are used to show Democrat or Republican victories or strength. Red = Republican which more or less means conservative and Blue =Democrats.
Snort! I'm planning my RWB wardrobe for the next two weeks. Debating if I need to take off on Election day to volunteer to call or hand out leaflets.
I think I'm going to print some VOTE posters for work. The college has done intensive voter registration and we want the students to vote--just vote we don't try to influence them unless it's funding for public education--obviously we're in favor of that.
Not sure I have this in the right place, and likely will be late answering - but red in the US means conservative, Republican, less likely to support Barack Obama....
ETA: Ok, in the wrong place, and therefore will add - Wow. ^_^V
*nod* Reading about the 'ground game' - Obama's campaign neighborhoods - always sends chills through me. ^^V And watching the vid "Yes We Can" brings tears to my eyes.. ^^VVVV

Red state: does that mean a leftist state? As in red, the socialist/communist colour? Or is this colour symbolism different in the United Ones?
