In all the hubbub, Emma had grabbed a gun from a guard who was cowering outside her door, shooting him a scowl. Scott had repeatedly said X-Men don't shoot people and he himself had never raised a gun (unless you counted shooting fake-people during the whole Cassandra Nova debacle where Emma was rendered embarrassingly useless), Emma had indeed shot people.

She moved further into the base, getting near the brig at the point Rorschach exited. On the one hand, there were bigger problems happening on the base.

"Hey." She snapped, waving her stolen gun at him and frowning. "What the hell?"
"You." He stopped and glared at Emma. "Don't have time to deal with you right now. Tell me what's going on, or get out of my way." The gun meant little to him. In fact, everything meant little to him right now.
"Hurm." The ink blots on his 'face' looked rather scowl-like. "Was a time when only someone crazy or stupid would tell me that with a straight face. Miss only having to deal with muggers and delinquents."
