Wes lifts a hand in a poor imitation of a salute -- hey, it's Saturday -- before waving towards the nearest plate of cookies. "There's whiskey somewhere. Might need it when the rest of the kids--"
"DAD DAD LOOK." Cal's grin is just about visible through the faceplate of the flight helmet he's already put on.

"BUT ANI WRAPPING GIFTS IS SO MUCH FUUUN!" he said, bouncing slightly.

Wes is sitting on the coffee table munching on a cookie; he picks up another one and tosses it at Hobbie.

"You did. But I'll just do his homework for him or something."
"So where's my money?"
"... I need ice cream and video games if I'm doing more homework."
Shalla banged her head against the top of her box.

He ran over -- he'd been doing a lot of running so far tonight -- and stopped in front of Shalla and Tasha, bouncing slightly.
"Hiiiii. What did you get me? Wait, did you only get me one?" He frowned. "Joint presents don't count."

"Yeah," Tasha said. "That's three from each of us. Where's the cake?"

"CAL! CAL! PRESENTS!"
Jake laughed, a wrapped box in one hand and holding Charles Wallace's with the other.
"Say, you ever seen Star Wars, Charles?"
"I'm afraid not."
"Oh, that's right- the sixties. Well, when we're through here I'll take you to my place and we'll have a grand old time."
Charles smiled, adjusting his grip on his own present.
