Please excuse me while I take a few minutes to stare into space.

All I can say is...well...that was the best,or one of the best, endings I have ever read. (though I rather liked the conclusion to Cats 1 a little more)

Oh great. Now I need to go gibber incoherently for a few minutes.

Everything about this story is played out so well. Both of you wrote in subtle moments that seemed to characterize Vexen and Saix, which is very appreciated.

Of all things, I liked the 'The charade is over.' quote best. It seemed so final then that Saix chose Xemnas rather than Vexen that...it stood out.

Overall, this is one of the best Kingdom Hearts fanfictions out there.

Ahhh, I take such satisfaction from this in a wierd way. Pride in both endings, I guess. :)

Thank you for reading along during the long, wierd trip of both stories! Kytha's on vacation for a couple days but I know the folks who have commented will make her gleeful when she gets back.

Satisfaction is good. Definitely. I just liked the way that you drew both stories to a close. Both of them are not blantantly screaming for a sequel, (I've read stories that have the most gigantic cliffhangers at the end, it'd make Lexaeus feel like a midget. -_- ) and it didn't have a fake, cheesy happy ending that comes a long with some fanfic sometimes. Which is very, very appreciated.

One of the main things I liked about Cats was that it made logical sense...in a strange, non-linear sort of way. Kinda like the experiment the whole story was named after.

It was fun trying to find the connections between Schrödinger's cat and Cats in Boxes. The way that Saix can never really have any concrete information on Vexen is a beautiful parallel, and also the way that Vexen is 'technically' half-alive, half-dead, just like the cat in the theory.

It was a long, weird, and incredibly FUN trip, though!

as much as I love my cheesy endings, I knew it wasn't going to happen in this one-- so I took advantage and helped pepper in as much wtf as I could to kind of make up for the way the ending seems just so bleak. I'm hoping the random inclusion of Mary Poppins, penguin references, pooh!keyblade bits, minigames, et. al made up or accented it. XD;;;;

:D Oh god logic. WE FAILED SO HARD AT LOGIC. Luc can attest to this. Multiple times.

The experiment works disturbingly well for this fic's main image, but you know, I always wonder why no one considers Vexen-- or the cat-- capable of observing their own existence.

Let me just say that when I was reading the last few paragraphs of this fic, this song came up on iTunes and my roommate had to ask me why I was sniffling.

Thank you for this fic. I really enjoyed it.

That is a really appropriate song, too.

Thank YOU for reading! I am glad you liked it. :)

Eerily appropriate, that song.

I'm glad the fic merited such a reaction. :3 ♥ I like writing to reach out to people, so I'll assume it works.

Oh my.

...

Oh my.

There are way too many sweet little catches and beautifully dynamic sentences in here. I had to stop a couple of times to catch my breath. The subtle hurry toward the end and all of those Nobodyhood paradoxes just made me very, very happy, and now I'm going to go over there and flail a lot - like I haven't been doing enough of that already - and dab at my eyes a bit proper and maybe, just maybe, I might be intelligible later.

In the meantime: <3.

The subtle hurry toward the end
Yes! :) The time period of Cats2 was so hard to work with because we went from 'most of a year' to 'maybe a day or two, unless we have Sora go off and do a million minigames and then extrapolated.' But we wanted to get that sense of time rushing along, everything hurrying towards its conclusion, and a sense of everything finally collapsing into a single fixed point.

Thank you for reading along until the very end. :)

Ha ha. In my world, THIS IS CANON. "Come on, guys, I gotta get more trophies and gems before I can save Kairi! She'll still be there after a couple more hours of gameplay, I promise!"
