FINALLY just watched this episode. No, that paragraph didn't make any sense to me. But does it help that I only started watching DW since RTD got behind the wheel? I don't know if that makes a difference.
Alex Kingston really throws me off. I've only ever seen her in two things before, neither of which prepared me for her appearance next to the Doctor. S'weird.
Nope, probably not one bit of difference. I've seen very little pre-RTD Who and maybe an hour total of anything involving Romana at all.
Or I guess if you didn't know Romana was a Time Lord (I refuse to say Time Lady, too much like authoress for my taste), that might be helpful information. But all that crap was mostly just my brain trying to use its college education since it doesn't often get to. :P And I may or may not have been drinking at the time.
And ACK. I just realized that Alex Kingston was Dr. Corday. Which, yeah, weird.
Also, the other thing I saw Kingston in was a movie called Croupier with Clive Owen. Which, it's amazing I remembered she was in it at all. Because. CLIVE OWEN.
YAY DRINKING. I also am mostly through my favorite bottle of Shiraz. CHEERS!
