Obligatory Who reaction post

Eeek, DONNA! I think she'll be fine by the end of this arc, but the way River looked all stricken when she found out Donna's name makes me think she's not going to survive the series. Well, that and the foreshadowing mallet we've been getting hit over the head with since "there's something on your back."

Also, dude, that was creepy. PLZ TO NOT BE MAKING THE LIBRARY SCARY FOR THE CHILDRENS, MOFF. Hard enough getting them to read as it is without making them think librarians are dead-people faces glued onto robots.

And where would we be after a Who episode without a ridiculous and unfounded theory from yours truly? Well, less amused, probably.

The only way I'm going to be able to stand the idea of River's heavily-implied lover status is if she's Romana. So I hereby decree that River is Romana. Well, yes, she says she's never seen the Doctor so young. But she could mean she's never seen Ten so young. Or she could be fob-watched. I mean, remember what happened the last time we met a Professor? And hey, sonic screwdriver.

And it gets worse, too. It gets literary. River Song. All I could think was Joyce. River. riverrun. Anna Livia effin' Plurabelle. If you take the Doctor as HCE/Finnegan, then Romana's the closest thing we've got to an ALP. Anna was, Livia is, Plurabelle's to be. ...Uh. Don't worry about it. Even opening a copy of the Wake makes you 3% less sane, TRUFAX. And under no circumstances will I bring the Cad Goddeu into it. Nope. I will not say a word towards Battle of the Trees ==> Forest of the Dead, and absolutely nothing about multitudes of shapes. In fact, you're better off pretending you never read this paragraph, which you'll probably do anyway as it makes ZERO sense, which is why I've made it tiny.

All that matters in that big pile of pseudo-academic spew up there is a big reincarnation-y full-circle thingamabob. Welcome to some frightening insight on the way my mind works. I do understand that I am totally incorrect and sort of weird.

spoilers, doctor who
