1. Zettai kareshi drama Ep 1. With the awesome one-time-only softsubs.

Everyone is so cute. Aiba Saki is the perfect cute Japanese girl, Mokomichi is way tall, and Mizushima has gained some weight and no longer bears such a strong resemblance to my ex-boyfriend from college. Now I can enjoy his kakkoi-ness without angst.

Looks like a lot of fun, ( Read more... )

"If only Mokomichi's neck didn't appear to be wider than his head so much of the time."

This is a problem I had initially with YamaP!

ack! I'm trying without success to d/l Zettai kareshi from d-addicts, no one seems to be seeding it, which is odd. Oh well, maybe I'll just wait for the hard subs, assuming SARS doesn't take too long with them and I completely forget about the drama!

You haven't seen the Old Boy movie? Hmm...I've never read the manhwa, I wonder how it compares? Sympathy for Mr Vengeance is my favorite Park Chan Wook movie, but a lot of people list Old Boy as the best.

I don't think I've ever seen a Korean movie. At least not knowingly.

But it's not a manwha, it's a manga--the author is Japanese and it was first published in Japan. The two definitely differ, at least according to Amazon reviews (from people who've seen the movie and just started with the manga). I'm going to wait to see the movie until I finish reading (assumingit's available in the US on DVD).

ooh, it's from a Japanese manga? well, I'm not that much a fan of the movie, to be honest (that probably already shows from my previous comment), so I never bothered looking into the source material. There is a region 1 release of the movie on DVD, though, so it shouldn't be hard for you to find if you want to watch it.

That's too bad you haven't seen any Korean films, there are loads of excellent ones out there!
