Sorry I disappeared on Tuesday. The charger decided to pack up completely, and there was nothing I could do to get it working. I've taken it back to the shop, but since it had been damaged by the pressure I had to put on it to get it to connect, they said there was nothing they could do short of selling me a whole new charger, which they didn't ( Read more... )

The same thing happened to my last laptop. Apples are much better that way because the charger connects magnetically rather than by a jack.

I hope that your assignment works out ok *supportive squish*

Maybe I should mention that to my dad.
Tho I don't want him to have to spend too much money on it, and I don't know how much they cost.

That's more than we can really afford. My dad said he'd spend around £400, and I'm not even amazingly comfortable with him spending that much on me.
He's bought me a new one now tho, he just needs to bring it up to me. It has a hard drive four times the size of the last one, and a built-in webcam! Which will make recording BBC3 Late Night Feature much easier :-D
