bandit goes to the fertile plains

I will note that mko and I WERE going to go see X3 on Friday, but after reading madeupwordhere's spoilers, I suggested we see "Over the Hedge" instead. Upon reading further FL reviews, I do not regret this decision in the least, especially since "Over the Hedge" was pretty good. So, I win.

Anyway, pictures. Pictures in REVERSE CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER. )

the internet is for: broken links!, media: legitimate theatre, quotidian: travel, media: moving pictures

I saw Cirque du Soleil's Allegria in Biloxi. I thought it was awesome. It had little girl contortionists and a sad woman in a floofy white dress who sang very loud. XD

That's a lot of stuff for a couple days, man. But yeah I hear you on taking a car down the strip. It's torturously slow and sometimes scary, from what I remember. The last time I went we got stuck in a horrible jam coming through the dam, too. I also hear you on the Flamingo, which is highly overrated. Vegas could really benefit from a subway system, but then again, with all the drunks, maybe that's not the best idea.

You should totally see the Luxor casino if you ever go back, which is probably my fave. The Excalibur sucks and is a waste of time. Las Vegas Hilton and the Star Trek Experience are must-do things (well for geeks at least, like me). Caesar's Palace is OK and very large. Circus Circus is overly overwhelming and seedy. But really, Vegas is an odd juxtaposition of Wolfgang Puck and cheesy little t-shirt/lingerie/bong shops.

Man, I WANTED to go to the Star Trek experience. Alas, it was not meant to be.
