whenever a team wins the world series, youre bound to have people buying their shirts and baseball caps, what made it even more widespread is all the near misses the team had in the past, and the fact that it was 86 years between championships. and the fact that boston (and massachusetts as well) isnt seen as some archaic quaker institution anymore
