Ankle Pain, & The Mitts

Mar 12, 2011 10:48

This morning, I woke up, and my legs and lower back were KILLING me! Maneuvering off of the bed (and act of shifting, from side to side) made me very aware, of how much I worked my lower back, yesterday. Every single little shift, created this wave of pain, that washed over my lower back. A pain so strong, it took all I had, not to scream out, and ( Read more... )

I had a physical therapist that I wanted to kick, if I could have! One thing she always wanted me to do was balance on one foot, my numb, wobbly foot. I had HUGE balance issues. For weeks I couldn't do it for more than a second, but I practiced and over time my numbness resolved and finally one day I was able to balance! I stood at the bar, lifted my foot and let go of the bar and yelped "I'm doing it!!" I was wobbling and flailing my arms, but I was on one foot!! And you know what she did? The b*tch PUSHED ME! WTF? What on earth was that for? She insisted it was a therapeutic push 'to see how well I compensated' Yeah, sure! Jerk.

I hope your mean therapist is at least helping you make progress!

Hooray for an easy yarn day!!! That's so awesome!

And I meant to tell you that your fish pillow looks fabulous! Even with you pointing out the flaws, I don't see them.

I hope the therapy session is beneficial with the pain. I really don't see that no pain = no gain concept. If you are hurting the next day then you are getting stiffer rather than more limber. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Glad the mitts are coming along smoothly. I've never worked with the Berroco Comfort yarn as I haven't seen it here in the stores I frequent. Will look more closely next time I am in the yarn sections.

Hugs and happy looming. I'm sure you can complete it. Just remember that knitting is much easier on the hands than the looming.

If you find it, I guarantee...You will love it. Having never before spent 7 bucks on a little ball of yarn, it was a bit out of character for me. But, I am glad I got it.

A good-quality yarn really does make things much easier. I've worked with splitty or snaggy yarns on needles and that's annoying and frustrating, a good yarn makes the process so much more fun. And I d find it fun and relaxing. I hope you get to that stage.

Your mitts sound lovely and will so be nice to wear.

I OFFICIALLY agree with this. Up until Berroco, I never really got the whole yarn snob thing. But, now, I GET IT! LOL!
