Sigh of Relief...Then, Back To The Yarn

Ahhhh!
I woke up today, at 7 am. I came out of my room. And, it was all so blissful.
Family members have gone back home, and the house is now quiet. Blissfully quiet.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love my sister, and her daughter (who were visiting, this weekend.) And, yes...It is always a joy to have them here. I always enjoy spending quality time, ( Read more... )

I understand your 'sigh of relief' when family leaves and know that it was preceeded by a 'surge of joy' when they arrived. I love seeing family and equally love when I have the house back to the two of us.

If you are hating the bright nights throw maybe you need to reconsider the yarn you are using. I know that you are cash-strapped but can you substitute something else for the black?

As to being overwhelmed - tell that little nagging voice to take a hike and stay gone but first - is it in your voice or someone elses? I've found that once I've discovered the source of the nagging voice I have more luck in ignoring it or bannishing it for good.

Hugs, happy stitching with no more nagging voices.

I wish I could abandon the black yarn...believe me. Sadly, I can't.
Josh (the father of the baby, I am making the blanket for), is in a race team, called The Checkers. Their colors are, you guessed it...white, and black.
And, this is why I am using those colors. I want this blanket to be an EXTREMELY special gift. Even if I hate making it...I know it will be worth it, when I deliver it.
Yes...family. I love when they come. I LOVE when they leave. Hehe.

Ahhh! The dreaded black and white choice now becomes clear and you are a great friend to make such a special gift.

Black by day - white by night and the task will be rapidly completed.

Hugs and happy stitching,

Kae

I totally understand changing plans mid-stream. So glad that you came to that decision before completing them and then having possible hurt feelings in the end.

I gave my cousin a blanket for her new baby....two years later I was over at their home and it was being used as a mat for the dog. I mean, wow.
