As I was watching the show that I love to cringe to, I was working, fervently, on my afghan. I was enjoying my time, fiddling with the Pomp-A-Doodle. And, I realized

I'm so glad that afghan is almost done. I feel the sense of accomplishment right along with you. You have been my inspiration to just suck it up and finish the frogs for my bag...which have been the bane of my existence. I hate making the same thing over and over again!
I'm going to have some tea and keep chugging away at the work with you. :)

Michael,
Bless Pomp-A-Doodle that it has revived your love of yarn. I'm sure the afghan will be awesome - it has already made your tummy ache go away.
Also, I'm very pleased to learn that you are feeling comfortable enough to break away from the color scheme of the book. Patterns are only recipes in that they offer the basic stitches and size and then allow the cook to add whatever seasoning you want to make the project (dish) your own.
Hugs and happy stitching everyone,
Kae
