Yesterday...

I feel your pain at the death of your favorite hook. At least the dog didn't feel the pain only the grumpy look of a yarnie deprived of its favorite tool!
Now the needle could have been much worse - it could have been metal and embedded on the part that sat on it - be grateful for VERY LARGE FAVORS that didn't happen or your sitting time would be greatly reduced.
Good luck on finding your favorite hook's brother and getting it before your trip.
