Disclaimer: I absolutely and totally completely fail to the extreme and I forgot about this community and just kinda let it fade into inactivity.

But! Since everyone's favorite writing event of the year is approaching (...sort of. Still kinda early), I figured I'd post for the heack of it.

Yay! Glad to hear that. Yeah, I don't really know what I'm writing either. :| I was trying to figure it out last night but I didn't actually get very far.

Awesome, and agreed. I will try to remember to post a meme when it gets closer to NaNo...maybe mid-September, early October.

I was sad to see this community turn silent, even though I'm mostly a shy lurker. I know what I want to write for Nanowrimo, and am currently doing an outline so I have everything figured out - though I'm definitely leaving room for my story to grow and change direction, as often happens.

I definitely agree with another friending meme. I feel like I'm mostly focusing on writing now and everyone has left for Tumblr in terms of fandom but I've been with LJ since before it was in open beta, so I couldn't just leave, haha.

Yeah, it's totally my fault. :| I got bombarded with school crap and lost focus on my own NaNo (yet again, failing miserably) and I just let the community fade into inactivity. Plus, I run a role play that ate up my focus. I haven't written something non-role play related in a long while. /lame excuse.

I'm hoping to get to the point of a potential outline-type-thing sooner rather than later. I just...need an idea that I really want to use and am actually going to focus on.

I will definitely make sure to post a friending meme when it gets closer. Probably toward the end of September. Yeah, it sucks that most people have left for Tumblr and Dreamwidth. I remember when LJ required an invite to create an account. I don't remember if I created my first account because of having an invite or not..it might not have been until after they stopped requiring an invite.

I've been dying to get into RP again. I usually RP with my best friend but I miss RPing with other people, too. Had one going that was blog run on Dreamwidth, but alas, people left and yeah :/

I feel you though - this entire year has been 31 hospitalizations, my mother having her third stroke, a friend being charged with manslaughter and nearly losing my best friend to suicide. /coolstorybro

It's been a clusterfuck but when I saw this post, I was like YES FINALLY SOMETHING TO FOCUS ON THAT'S POSITIVE, lol. I was back in LJ when it was just Times NR font, and Brad had extended invites to some college friends and one of his friends was my friend and knew I loved web design etc and was all "let her test it out, too!" so voila. This is my second account though - the older one I believe has since been purged, sadly.

Yeah, I totally hear you on that. I have a one-on-one Star Wars role play with someone that's been going for like...seven years? We've done three generations of characters, but now we're sort of doing an AU of the second generation (actually, we only half did the third generation. The AU is sort of both second and third generations, because the second generation is in their 50's). He tends to have these spurts where he gets really busy and barely comes online (like right now) or he goes through these spurts of not being around for like 5-7 months at a time, which makes me go crazy. My other role play that ate up my time last year is a Star Wars role play as well. I know all too well how you feel about people leaving. :| I'm dealing with it right now- mostly people who've just gone MIA without a word, and now that school has started up for them it's even harder
