Acclimatising myself to this City is quite the challenge. Almost as much as attempting to become accustomed to Earth, having spent so much of my life on Tarnax VII, was. At least there, when people acted irrationally, they were doing so through something of their own agency. Generally speaking, of course ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure that your team would protest if you attempted annihilation anyway, Xavin.

Cafe Juliet has them.

I am not my father, William. I would never attempt such a thing, even if I did not already have acquaintances on Earth. I have the utmost respect for peace, and have no greater hope than one day being able to bring it to my people.

Thank you for the information.

Well that's good to know. I hope your people get peace, too.

Sure. If you want I'll treat you and Karolina.

I am certain it would be much easier to achieve, were Dorrek willing to fulfil his duties.

You do not need to do that.

I think that was supposed to be a compliment wasn't it? I think we'll do a fine enough job annihilating ourselves without any outside help.

Caramel Macciato? I don't think I've ever had one, I'll have to try it sometime.

A compliment? I suppose. I have fought for your people before, and would do so again.

That is unfortunate. Perhaps, once I have ensured that they are up to a high enough standard, I could accompany you in purchasing one.

Thanks for that then, I think during the invasion everyone needed all the help they could give each other. I was very much out of it though.

You'll have to let me know then when you find out.

Indeed. I had recently returned from 1907, and as such, was incredibly confused by the goings on.

Very well.

Caramel Macchiato?

Yes. It is a caffeinated drink, made from steamed milk. I discovered it while living on Earth.

Hm. I guess there is going to be a lot of foods I don't know here.

Indeed. Have you heard of pizza before?

What makes them detrimental in comparison?

Hello.

Do you mean Skrulls, in comparison to humans?

worthier May 6 2009, 22:13:43 UTC
Correct.

Naturally, Skrulls are shape-shifters. We are also able to control the cosmic elements, which gives way to such abilities as fire manipulation and force-field projection. Though we were originally a mercantile race several millennia ago, we have become warmongers, and it often seems that my people know of no other way in which to function.

In addition to this, our technology is at a higher level than that of Earth, and we have a great empire, spreading across some fifty colonised planets.

The way you think about humans is basically how I think about aliens.

What are Skrulls? They sound ugly.

I am Skrull. And I suppose it could be said that we are “ugly,” by human standards, considering that we are green-skinned and somewhat reptilian.

Luckily, we are also shape-shifters, so this problem is easily overcome.
