Some might even recognize it for what it is - the library in Hollow Bastion's castle. Anyone who enters is free to search through the books if they like, though they will find very little. Sora wasn't in much of a reading mood when he was there, after all.
And maybe it's not such a good idea to stay anyway, because you probably hear something; a sound like the wind, a small shuffle. You might see the movement of a shadow somewhere in the corner.
Or feel a pair of golden eyes watching you.]

[The pages were blank.]
[She put the book back, the feeling on anxiety rising quickly.] Hello? Is anyone here? [He voice was small, the eerie silence around her seeming to swallow up the words before they could get far.]
[A sound, a light shuffling, has her spinning to look behind. Nothing. Another sound and she turns again. She starts to cry.] Anyone? Hello?

How rapidly a peaceful situation can become chaotic.
It is here the changes take place over the island's conditions, leaving the castle master to look up at the sky overhead. Seeking shelter is a prominent thought, but it becomes disrupted when he hears that younger but familiar voice.
He turns to see where Sora is, but the thought to call back out to him is delayed.]

Not yet.
While he watches the scene, he doesn't even realize the hastening retreat of the waves, how much they have grown in the size of their swells. And as if on cue, it isn't until the point in which the boy reaches out toward his friend that Thomas sees the oncoming tidal wave.
There is only a handful of moments available in that time span - on that is impossible for them to get completely clear of its path.
But why is Sora running toward the danger?]
Sora! No!!
[His voice returns to him right then, his own feet forcing themselves to run forward over the sand.
As much as he wanted to flee, his concern for Sora is far greater.]

Not from something, but towards something. Chasing them, through white hall after white hall, in a castle he knows but doesn't quite remember. Reaching for each of them, crying out, begging them to stop. But they always disappear. Are always one step ahead of him. People that he's met in Nautilus. Friends from other words. People he doesn't remember, but that he's sure he(?) knows from somewhere.
And the two people he would go to the end of the world and back, again and again, to find.
"Wait! Just wait for a second!"
Where were they all going? And why couldn't he find it, wherever it was? He was getting so tired...
But he couldn't stop. Not yet.]
