The notion had seemed like a good one! At the time. Where it was warm and sunny and not a speck of snow to be seen except around some weird tree bearing green fruit ( ... )

Gambit was currently swaggering his way over the sidewalk, looking around at the snow. It was so strange that it was snowing in two districts and not the other two. Then again, a lot of things in this city didn't make much sense. He figured that out quickly.

Eventually, he spots the, uh... hunchback? After getting a little closer, he bends down far enough to see her freezing face, before flashing her a smirk, his red eyes sparkling.

"Ya col', chere?"

"Like you wouldn't believe!" Yuffie responded with a teeth-chattering smile. At least the weather hadn't affected her mood. Then again, very little could.

She peered at his eyes, a little taken aback at the unusual color. Still, his expression seemed friendly enough, and if the guy was seriously up to no good, he'd get a giant shuriken in the face for his troubles. Or maybe she'd test out one of her materia...

Oh well, didn't matter yet!

"I just thought I'd do a little stargazing where it's nice and clear and open, but I didn't think it'd be THIS chilly! How do you guys stand it?"

"Heh. Where I from," and he means Louisiana, "it don' get dis col'. But ya can say I be warm blooded."

Even with his mutant powers, this was pretty chilly weather. "Stargazin'? Well, now, petite. I think ya shoul' now dat it be colder when da sky be clear."

This girl was going to be a funny one. He can tell.

Aerith had planned on visiting the Northern District for a while. If only to see the snow - it'd been such a rare occurrence for her that when it did happen she liked to go see it at least.

There was the problem of getting a coat for the trip. She was sure anything she could Bend right now wouldn't be the highest quality - maybe a light jacket, but for the snow that was in the Northern District she would need something a little heavier. She wasn't confident enough in her own abilities right now to try something so big.

So she was on her way to see if Tifa had a coat she could borrow in the mean time. She could find Hikaru and ask for one from him, but that also involved going into the snow in the East. In the end, she'd still need some kind of jacket.

Before she went, Aerith stopped by her church for a moment to check on some flowers she'd used her Bending on. They seemed to be flourishing, and like always she ended up losing track of time as she tooled around with them.

The Cajun himself was busy touring the city, seeing where people gathered and didn't for the most part. Currently, he had wound his way back down South, only to spy a quaint, old, little church...

Curiosity got the best of him. Hopefully, since it was a church, he wouldn't end up shot for trespassing. That is, until, he noticed a familiar face... He gave it some thought. She did seem nice enough, and helpful to boot. Might as well say hello.

"Bonjour, chere," he greeted, moving closer to see what she was picking at. Oh, flowers? "Ah, ya planted those?"

Aerith was a little surprised by his appearance, but not terribly so. She gave him a bright smile, her fingers shoved in the dirt rooting around under a particular flower. She'd gone back to her old standby of getting her hands dirty, so to speak. It was much more satisfying.

"Hi Gambit!" She looked down at her handiwork, tilting her head. "I did. I tried to use Bending to help them grow, but I just don't feel as accomplished, you know?"

Leaning back on her heels, she brushed her hands together get most of the dirt off. "What are you up to? Exploring?"

He nods, looking at the flowers. "Oui. Been lookin' through dis city for da past few days."

Bending can even help flowers grow. Were there no limits to this power?

Mitham always tended to roam the city, it was a habit of his from his early days on the streets of his home, and then when he first arrived, determined to know all the in's and out's of his new home. Now it was a matter of patrolling, and making sure he knew of any changes, not to mention that he just liked being out. He'd made it back home and his animals were happy to see him.

Bundled up in coat and gloves Mitham stood outside and watched his little zoo play in the snow. It was late, it was dark, but he was awake and so were his pets.

He had to admit he was a little surprise to see anyone else up and out at this time. Not that they couldn't be, it just wasn't the usual. He waved to the stranger, calling a friendly hello. Only his cat seemed to stop and notice, the emu and the panda continued to play.

Well, the only reason Remy stopped to look was to figure out what kind of critters that kid was totting around... Oh, he said hello? Alright. He'll be friendly. No reason not to, so far. Except for coming here against his will and being defenseless.

"Bonjour," Gambit greeted, walking a little closer, spying the animals with his glittering red eyes. "Is... dat a panda?" And there's a cat. What's that other thing?

Mitham's grin widened a little, completely undisturbed by the stranger's eyes. There were too many other strange things around here for someone's eyes to be a bother. Have you seen Death yet?

"Sure is. He's friendly," it was an invitation to come closer, to perhaps even pet the animal. "He especially likes belly rubs." And as though the words were a cue, the panda cub perks, looking at Mitham, then the stranger. With a squeak of a cry the cub is trying to pull itself through the snow...towards the approaching stranger.

The cat is not to be outdone, and with dexterous leaps he bounds to the man much faster, determined to get the attention first. The bird on the other hand seems content to go lean against Mitham's leg and watch.

No, he has not. Expect him to successfully lose his shit when he does.

Remy chuckles, crouching down as the cat moves over to him. He lets it smell his hand, while he watches the panda hurdle the snow to get to him... He won't say it aloud, but that's so freaking adorable.

"Ya go' quite da collection here, homme," he told the boy, leaning a hand out to try and help the panda along, before nodding at the striped thing by his leg. "What dat one be?"

Jendayi knew she should be inside and in bed, but she just couldn't sleep tonight. There were so many new people in the city, why couldn't her Papa be one of them? She found herself outside, looking up at the stars and trying to find anything that might look familiar about them. Nothing did. It wasn't surprising.

She missed her Papa, she wanted to go home, if only to find out if...i-if they made it. She was terrified to go back, though, terrified to know if her Papa had gotten killed, and so she stood in the snow, gazing at unfamiliar stars and trying not to cry, because it was too cold and the tears would make her cheeks hurt.

The Medbay, huh? And Ground Zero. This spot seemed to get a decent amount of traffic, particularly from that robot group running around town. Still, good to know where a doctor is if it came to a last resort situation.

Gambit was looking over the two buildings, particularly the Medbay, when he immediately noticed the little girl, standing in the snow, alone, looking like she was about to choke up...

Nope. Can't have that.

He got back to ground level (because he may or may not have been on the roofs) and approached slowly. "... Bonjour, petite," he quietly greeted with a small wave and smile. "What ya doin' out here? Don' ya know it col'?"

... He thought about his eyes at the last second. The other citizens didn't seem to pay any mind, but it would break his heart if she ran away, screaming.

Jendayi jumped, startled to hear someone speaking to her. She'd half expected Drift to notice that she was gone and to come looking, but this was a new and unfamiliar voice. She spun to look at the approaching man.

She managed a little, shy smile and a wave back. "I know, I'm just...thinking."

His eyes did catch her attention, but being one that is "different" in her own world, she wasn't about to judge on appearance alone. Her own silver eyes seem to catch the moonlight, the sheen of unspilt tears making them shine all the more. She tried the blink the tears away, not wanting to give this stranger the wrong impression.

"Ou' here? Can' think inside where it warm?" he chuckles.

Though, he does catch those tears in her eyes. He'd hate to know what someone so young was thinking over to make her want to cry.

"'Sides. Thinkin's for ol' people."

The Fibonacci Museum was not obviously inhabited, but it was open, with light falling from every wide window and no evidence of hours anywhere. A path had been pressed into the snow over its shallow stairs; the great double doors were bare of lock or chain; withered ivy reached its second story and rattled in the barest breeze. Like Hill House, it held sensibly shut doors, firm floors, stone and wood, little logic, and a superficial sort of silence.

So, he had deduced that, while the East did have a beach, it was still quite chilly. Gambit had been looking over the landscape, when this particular building caught his eye... He left it... then came back... and left again... and came back again ( ... )

“C'est une imitation, mais pas dans la façon dont on pourrait s'attendre.” The voice was one Gambit might have recognized, although it was both startling and surprisingly close---the speaker stood just out of arm’s reach, smiling against the underside of his Fawkes face at announcing himself so suddenly and the opportunity to employ a second language (however heavily accented). Visitors to the museum were rare, and visitors in to admire its art rarer still, but V’s sense of humour was well-developed, and his idea of ethical action allowed him to act on it.

WOAH!

He jumped at the sudden voice, whirling to look beside him. Oh, it's just- WHO IS THIS? Gambit would just start running, but, yeah, that won't look guilty at all. Then again, this guy was wearing a mask and top hat...

Might as well play the nice card? And if things go bad, then run.

"Ah! Excusez-moi. Je n'entends pas une intrusion. Il fait froid et la porte a ouvrez."
