If anything, the failure to perfectly duplicate Rion's clothing was a huge success; it only resulted in an immediate outpouring of sympathy for the psychic.
"Mr. Steiner!" She breathed, stunned nearly to silence by the look of him. She could only imagine how he felt right now, what kind of nightmare he had to endure.
"...A-are you--" Okay? What was she supposed to say in this situation? "Thirsty? I can make you something to drink..." She didn't even notice the eyes. Either that or she'd disregarded the difference as a trick of the light.

"... I just wanna sit down somewhere."
Even though he was laughing on the inside, he could still manage to keep this up! It was something. But Cain was determined to make this work - with Rion trapped inside of his body, it should be easier than before. There was no chance of interference.

The red couch. That way, he can relax and maybe... watch a movie? Did he even like movies?
Pepper bit her lip and walked to 'Rion', a hand timidly hovering over his shoulder before finally resting there lightly. "Come on, let's get you somewhere comfortable."
Hook, line and sinker. Pepper is completely taken in by the guise.

Turning a corner will reveal a gruesome scene of one wall painted dark red. A blood-stained device is left in the corner, as if ready to capture the moment when Pepper's body (what is left of it) is discovered. All that can be seen from the camera's angle is a leg sheathed in nude hosery with a few drops of fresh blood on it, devoid of a high heel, which lies just a few feet away.
Whatever happened in here, happened quickly and very recently.]

He had hesitated when taking the lifetimer from the shelf, as if questioning if it was correct. He knew better than that, and he knew it was not the first time, nor would it be the last that he was called to harvest an acquaintance.
No, not just acquaintances. It wouldn't have bothered him as much were it simply that, were it not this place. He had allowed himself to befriend people here. But he had to remind himself that he had a reason for being here, as well.
His shadowed visage looked down upon the bloodied form as he appeared there within the room. As though expecting the name to have changed, Death slid the lifetimer out from his black robes, holding it up to read the letters that were engraved along the curve of its metal rim: VIRGINIA POTTS

"Oh." She began, "Hello." She cast a sideways glance around before asking, "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you come in." She knows him from the Network, recognizes him, but is so preoccupied with the nagging desire to mess with something in her hair that she hasn't quite put two and two together.

The bony fingers tilted the lifetimer in hand again, and he glanced at it again before taking a step towards the woman.
