The important things

December kind of flew by around here, bringing a lot of joy and destruction in its Decembery path. It was December of last year that a powerful storm hit our home in Aberdeen, knocking out the power of the entire coast and stranding us in a freezing home with no heat and no food with washed out roads and a lot of fear ( Read more... )

Miss you, too! And glad you had a great vacation. I actually love all the business and activity of the holidays. It doesn't actually stress me out, even though I have three Christmas dinners to go to every year and way too many people to buy for (okay, the money thing did stress me out this year, but that was only because the government messed up and put my child tax benefit, which I was counting on for gift buying, in some mystery account somewhere.)

Zachary's in the 75th percentile for weight now and wearing 6 and 6-9m clothes. Go mommy milk, go!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! no kidding. if you look at the comment below yours, a IRL friend of mine just had her baby on Dec. 26 and we're going to visit them today. they've been struggling with nursing too and (she's been supplementing formula by finger feeding) and i'm really hoping to help. it makes me so happy to hear when people get all their problems figured out. :-)

Glad you and your family had a great time during the holidays! I had to have my brother drive me to work everyday. We couldn't even get our cars off our street until Sunday or Monday. Thank goodness he bought a 4 wheel drive big truck.

Did you get the e-mail about Eowyn and baby Harald?

april 1.

i'm 28 weeks today and long overdue for a belly shot. i was going to do it at a friend's house last night but toddler antics forced us to alter our plans. i'm sure you know how that is ;-)

so sometime soon at least ... hopefully

That sounds really nice! Almost like a "stay-cation." :-)

As for defaulting on your home ... I wouldn't look down on you if you did. But I'd think long and hard before you did it. You don't need credit right now. But what if you wanted it soon? What if these interest rates stick around and you find a buyer for your house this spring? Or what if you find great renters and get a really nice additional income?

Either way, whatever is best for you guys!

thanks :-)

no one can buy the house without major repairs and us taking out a huge loan. and as far as renting? well, it just seems that we aren't going to do that. there's like this huge invisible wall that has just stopped us from ever moving on it, even after we said it was what we wanted to do. we just didn't. it's hard to explain. :-(
