i dream of bunk beds too...my kid's got friends...i imagine at some point we will have sleep overs, so no, it is not horrible, IMO :P

my 8-year-old brother has bunk beds and i always thought it was a bit odd, but now that ben is old enough to spend the night, it works out pretty well. (they recently took them apart though, so they're side by side instead of on top of each other)
