where did YOU come from?

Mar 25, 2008 10:56

I was just tickling Ben on the couch and he was kicking and laughing. I was kissing him all over but mostly on the cheeks and he said, "Go back where you came from!"

??????

I repeated, "Go back where you came from?"

and he said, "OK!!!!"

and then I inwardly winced, imagining this.

funny, benjamin

yeah, i thought so too. normally he doesn't say random things like this. i blame the television. but even when he learns things from the tv, i usually recognize what show it came from and this one i didn't ...

hrm.

hehe I hear weird things from the kids that I can't trace back too. When my sink blew up (yep, really BLEW up), Jaden said, "Look Mom a geyser!" All I could think about for a second was where he learned about a geyser. lol

ha ha ha. probably tv for that one.

yesterday ben said "and if it's cold we need a brella and then we'll be warmer"

i told him that brellas don't make us warmer, just dryer. :-)

I really think my child is attempting to get back inside sometimes. Via my neck. how scary is that, yo?

it really does seem to be what they want, huh? mine screams "MAMA!!!" at the top of his lungs, like he can't find me, even when he's in my arms.

i say "i'm right here"

but it never seems to make him happy.

its gonna be bad when mine actually talks, huh?

which, by the way, he doesn't really say mama or dada, but is getting quite good at shoes. SHOES!

LOLOL at shoes!!!!

and yeah, you're in for it bad. i remember begging ben to say mama. please, just say mama.

now, he whines it over and over again in the car. it basically means "i am not completely happy at this moment. fix it now!!!"

it makes me want to pull out my hair. when he actually USES his words to communicate, then it's lightyears better than just crying. but when all he'll do is whine "mama" in that horrible whiny sing-song voice, it's almost worse than crying. at least with crying, i could send papa. :-)
