Here's the fix

I spent a ridiculously long time both yesterday and today fixing all my previous sponsored posts in hopes of regaining my google rank. Yes, they finally found me too. But thankfully, I learned a trick to recover it at the exact same time that it crashed ( Read more... )

I clicked. I read, but I don't really understand what you were fixing? What badges? I never had access to the sidebar here, so I never had any badges.

the sign up for ppp badges that some people put at the end of each post.

Oh, OK. I never remembered to use those except for a couple of posts. I couldn't figure out if it was acceptable to do that or not, since it was a link to something other than the advertiser's site.

I do have a hard time believing that a couple badges at the end of a couple posts really affected my PR that much, but, if I can find those posts, I will delete the badges.

Thanks.

I need a little more explanation as to what you did too. I still haven't lost my page ranks! It must be because they grew to a 2 and 1 on their own and I never did anything to try? But, I would like them to continue to grow ... so what do I need to do?

I'm glad it worked for you!!

the sign up for ppp badges that some people put at the end of each post. if yours are fine, its up to you whether you want to do it now, or wait and see if they find you. it does not matter if your blogs got their pr before you started doing ppp.

cominguprosemary should be fine because you don't write sponsored posts there yet.

But my page rank was a 2 before I even started doing ppp, so that's why I'm thinking it won't be too greatly effected. We shall see, I suppose.

it doesn't matter. they're punishing anyone doing ppp, no matter when you got your pr. i've heard from lots of people who lost their pr, even though it was established long before they started ppp. if yours is still there, great. just remember to keep checking!

the little review my post or payperpost proud member badges that if people click them and sign up you get money? i used to put them at the end of every sponsored post. kiki too. look on my userinfo page and you'll go, OH! those badges!

that's how the google gods find you. suppossedly, if you take em off, your PR recovers.

(so far, i've got mine back here but not at blogspot yet ... hmm, i wonder if i missed a couple over there.)

How long did it take for your PR to come back? PPP just updated and my 2 now shows the 0 it became :(
