Flynn heard the sort-of hurried way that Tron left, but then, he only needed to look outside the window himself to figure out the reason. He shrugged on a coat, then came out to the hallways, hesitating for a moment whether to go up or down. Then he figured that Tron would go for the safer option and started up to the roof.

When he came outside, he could only smile at the way his face was upturned into the falling snow, startled and wondering.

Axel heard Tron and Flynn heading out. He wondered why they'd be going out this early, until he glanced out his own window, giving a slightly surprised smile as he saw the white flakes drifting past it. He donned his own coat and followed Flynn, figuring, as Flynn had, that Tron would go up to the roof.

He stepped out onto the snow-covered roof, spotting Tron and Flynn easily, and also smiled. "Heh, didn't know they got snow around here," he said. White flakes flitted down to land in his hair, standing out sharply against the bright red.

He turned at the sound of Axel's voice, finding himself joined by the two Users and giving them a curious, confused smile before he went back to looking up at the grey sky. Snow. That word sounded familiar. Perhaps Flynn had given it to him all those years ago, before Clu's takeover. There were so many things he'd told the Programs about, and every single one had fascinated him.

"What causes it?" He held his arms out akimbo, letting it fall on his shirt and looking at the way it stayed there, still frozen for long moments before slowly melting into the fibers of his shirt. Already, he was beginning to feel his hair grow damp and his core temperature sinking lower, a comforting sensation when he'd lived for so many cycles as a Program dependent on a cooler environment to aid in keeping his systems from overheating ( ... )

Flynn was... surprisingly brightened by the snowfall. He chuckled quietly.

"Water evaporates, at all temperatures. It condenses at the lower temperatures up in the atmosphere - that's the clouds - and when the droplets become too heavy, they fall, and that's rain. When the temperature is even lower, the droplets freeze and become snowflakes. And that's how you get snow."

Beat.

"Which does mean that it's colder than it was, old friend. Do me a favor and run down to the apartment to get yourself proper shoes, the kind that will withstand getting wet, and a coat? The snow won't run away on you, I promise."

[LATER THAT DAY~]

The snow had inspired Axel to get out the Christmas- er, 'Life Day'- decorations that he'd rounded up. Nothing too elaborate, as he knew his friends and probably himself wouldn't be on-planet much longer; just a simple banner reading 'Happy Life Day!' in gold and silver lettering, a few foil-covered paper decorations shaped like colorful stars, and some bits of greenery that seemed to him to be similar to mistletoe or holly. Whatever they were, they smelled nice, like evergreen tended to do back home, and they brightend up the appartment.

He busied himself hanging up the various decorations, idly humming a bouncy Christmas song he'd learned as a kid back in Radiant Garden to himself as he worked, randomly lapsing into the actual words of the song at times. "Hmm-hmm-hmm, hmm-hmm-hmm, hmm-hmm all the way, Oh what fun, it is to ride in a one chocobo open sleigh..."

[OOC: Keeping all the Christmas event shenanigans in one topic. Xd It's Axel's turn to suffer from random crazy effects now! XD]

Sometime randomly plausible later.

Snow. Snow was brilliant. She hadn't seen real, proper snow in ages, so it's with childish enthusiasm that she races up the stairs to the roof, wearing pajama pants and a thick jacket hastily thrown on, and her fuzzy little snow boots. Snow!

She beams at Tron as soon as she spots him, and throws her arms out, spinning excitedly. "It's snowing! Isn't that brilliant?"
