[River is out of her bed and at the door instantly; she opens it and lets her mum inside, before turning to hug her, tight and quietly.]

Hello.

[Amy lets herself be hugged for a moment before hugging River back. She isn't sure she was strong enough to go on without Rory or the Doctor, but at least she had River. She isn't all alone here. It isn't Apalapucia all over again. Maybe Rory and the Doctor wouldn't ride to her rescue nearly forty years late, but she wasn't alone. There are people who cares about her and people she cares about.

Tears spring to her eyes once again. Even though River is her daughter, Amy finds she can rely on River's strength. She's so much older than her child should be.]

River. It's so good to see you.

[It's only fair. There has been so much time when all Melody had was that picture of Amy holding her as a baby, and the memories of the words Amy had given her. You are going to be very, very brave...

She is. Always has been. And now she will be brave for Amy in turn.]

[She follows River in, taking a seat and ringing her hands together.]

[She almost says wine, looking for a little release from alcohol. But it brings back memories of the day she watched the Doctor die, and she isn't prepared for that.]
