     It had taken Edward some time to attempt his own explorations of the place, if only because he inwardly hoped that it was somehow just a bad dream that he expected to wake up from. Any minute now

wasn't a good weekend to RP.

The knock against the door rang clearly to Lion-O, and he was quickly up on his feet and at the door. He opened it, and seeing Ed there, face-to-face, he looked at once both smaller, and tougher than Lion-O had expected. Lion-O felt he could relate to this, himself being not as tall as Tygra, or the other older cats, and having to frequently prove his abilities to others.

Lion-O smiled at him, with the slight baring of sharp canines. "You may enter," he said, and then second guessing his formal manner added, "Please, make yourself at home."

*pats* Everything okay?

     He might not have been as tall as most boys his age would expect to be, but he would have been happy to know that his growth hadn't been completely stunted. It was just going a lot slower. All the same, the subject of heights was always a delicate one and best avoided altogether around him.

Of course, it was difficult not to feel a little annoyed at having to look up to a person, but Lion-O was being nice about things. Whoa, nice teeth there. Edward grinned back, giving a small salute in greeting as he stepped inside.

"Always a lot nicer meeting people in person than over those pad things," he said as he glanced around the place. He turned to look back at Lion-O. "So, what have we got?"

Things back to normal. :)

"Yeah, it is," Lion-O agreed, still half-wondering if the salute were normal for Ed, or meant to mock his own formality. He decided to think the best of it, especially as Ed seemed quite willing to get to business.

Lion-O made a wave of a clawed hand to where he had lain out the supplies. "I did my best to sketch the needed parts. And, I guess this scrap metal is good enough quality to make the gauntlet."

The metal was in a plasteel bin, while the sketches were lying on various flat surfaces, tables and floor.

He walked to one of these tables, and lifted the replica, in its incomplete state. He turned around to show it to Ed. "This is what I have, so far." It was made of bands that suggested a framework to wrap around the left hand and forearm, with some internal rings, attached to various cables and levers, suggesting placement of fingers that would trigger mechanical functions.
