[Malik was in no particularly distressed emotional state, in fact he was starting to feel stable in this new world. He had a purpose, a debt to the Brotherhood, and between him and Altair things were looking brighter than they had months before. Even his concern for Catty was something of a relief- he didn't want to admit to himself how he missed having people to look over, either in his personal or professional life. It was an instinct he didn't like to ignore.

When he sees Isolde the air feels heavy somehow but he nods in greeting.] Isolde. [He says as he walked over, regarding her vibrosword with a raised brow before lookng to her.] Safety and peace.

Malik. [She nods at his arrival, a small smile worming itself onto her face. Noticing the brow raise towards the blade in her hand, she holds it out to him.] Nothing like starting training by automatically giving you the sword. Tell me how the weight feels.

[He takes the blade, considering it a moment before stepping back and giving it an experimental swing and twirl. He nods, brow raised.] It... is not what I am accustomed to, but it is a fine blade. It has a good weight to it's swings.

[He looks back to her.] Are these customary weapons in this land?

[She looks pleased by that comment. Stepping away, she turns to pick up a vibrosword of her own, since using a lightsaber at this time would probably result in pain and tears.]

The military is usually equipped with blasters, but many people still rely on the blade.
