( After speaking with Rose Tyler for the first time in... nearly 2000 years technically, Jack was positively jumping at the chance to wrap her in a huge hug. )

The door opened practically as soon as he rang, and he may or may not get a glance at the apartment before getting a hug launched on him by a blur of pink and yellow. Hopefully he was pretty sturdy on his feet, because Rose hugs with a fury.

"Where've you been, you giant idiot?" She pulled back, whacking him on the shoulder. "No- wait. Don't tell me. Actually, do tell me. The time stream's all...-" Have a wild hand gesture to demonstrate the scientific properties of wibbly-wobbly.

On the contrary, the Doctor remains very reserved, half-sitting against the back of the sofa, hands in his pockets. His expression is cordial enough, but he's certainly making no attempt to rush in and get his time with Jack. He also tends to look away from Jack at any given opportunity.

Things went well enough with the brief time he dealt with Jack when he first arrived, but the fact remains he's been avoiding Jack in his own personal timeline, it still hurts to look at him...and what Bad Wolf did to Jack is not something the Doctor wants to ever discuss around Rose.

"Not hard to look at yourself," She beamed at him, her tongue darting out to poke between her teeth. It really was good to see him. The last time she'd done had been back on her home Earth, during a parallel time stream. He sacrificed himself to end the Sontar invasion. Of course, all of it was undone with Donna, so really, the last time had been shortly before his death on Satellite Five ( ... )
