After speaking with Rose Tyler for the first time in... nearly 2000 years technically, Jack was positively jumping at the chance to wrap her in a huge hug. )
She shook her head. "Dunno, he- you disappeared right after I arrived." She gave him a nod, ushering him in the door and closing it behind her. She crossed the room and hopped up onto the back of the couch next to the Doctor.
"We're from two different places, actually, me and him. And I've already ruined him a bit, told him the future. We're not sure exactly what this place is, reckon it's some sort of alternate time stream, so when we get it all sorted, even if he does remember, he'll sort out a way to forget it all again until it's time. Me, I'm from... well, a bit further on than that." She pursed her lips, going a bit serious, a bit more like the woman she actually was, rather than the girl she'd been.

He crosses his arms then and nods until Rose mentions the future bit. He makes a face at that. "Well, not really....ruined. Harmless bits and pieces is all, really." No, they're not addressing her dying spell and all that. "I'm a few years before Rose, though, if I understand properly."

"I see." It was slightly relieving that Rose was a little later than he originally thought, but it didn't mean she knew about him yet. He looked to the Doctor for the same amount of vague information, then snorted and rolled his eyes.
"Seems like I'm further along than both of you. And in order to help me figure things out a little better, I'm going to say a word and you tell me if it means anything, okay? You don't have to say what... just yes or no. Canary Wharf."
Based on their small amounts of conversation so far, Jack assumed Rose would know of this, but the Doctor may or may not. Jack was slightly concerned about mentioning the place in the first hand if they did recognize it... it must have been an emotional time for the two of them based on the knowledge about it Jack had.

She flicked her eyes back up to Jack again, giving him a look that hopefully expressed the significance of the statement. After a second, she glanced over at the Doctor again. "As far as I can tell, he's from... dunno, probably half a year after he regenerated? Give or take a few months. Me, I'm from about four- nearly five years after Canary Wharf. Relative time. Probably only two for you two."
She pursed her lips. "The- ah- Earth'd just been displaced when I wound up here. I saw him get shot by that dalek, and the next thing I know, here I am, and there he is, well as you like, without the foggiest clue what I'm talking about. Honestly, it's... not really that pressing, giving away the future. I mean, just look at you. You left for a bit, and you don't even remember being here in the first place. Though, I've heard of people leaving and coming back with full memories, but I s'pose it might be situational. Either way, the Doctor's got himself covered, and I'm from far enough ahead that it doesn't even matter."

They really shouldn't trust him with that.
His expression remains as casual and generally disinterested as ever. "About six months, give or take time travel, yes. No Canary Wharf. Never mind that, just how long have you been here, Jack? You've got no memories at all of your time here before?"

"Woah... what a moment to have been displaced." He commented, shaking his head. Then he nodded as she continued and listened as the Doctor chimed in.
"I've only just arrived, actually. I found this datapad, got some clothes, then decided to check out what was happening on the net when I saw Rose's broadcast."
At the second question, Jack shrugged and shook his head. "Afraid not. I wish I knew from what point in my timeline that was though... I suppose it's possible I might have taken some Retcon to forget about it, though, had I still been with Torchwood at the time."
