{WATCHTOWER-1} // Lois, Andrew, Logan slayerdom September 13 2011, 23:19:55 UTC
The inside of watchtower is as can be expected of a facility set up by Chloe Sullivan. It's spacious, it's got a great view of the city, and the walls are all lined with tech. Most of it won't do the team any good right about now, but some of it? Yeah. Imperative that they use it.

Computer terminals are set up ready to help them jack into the security system of the warehouse, but it should be noted that it's all set up for someone who's standing the whole time. There are no chairs to be found except for a far-off couch that has a throw pillow and blanket haphazardly resting on it.

On one side of the tower's main room are the terminals ready and set up for Watchtower-1's operations. Opposite them are the guys in Watchtower-2, already working just as fervently to keep up and be ready to back up their guys on the ground.

[Lois is still weirded out by this place, but the fact that it's her cousin's makes it feel like Chloe is still with them on all this, which is comforting, in that sad sorta way. She leans over, installing an earpiece.]

Is this point where I go check-check-check?

[Logan is walking around, observing all the tech and internally jizzing. He knew Chloe had to be hauling some sweet ass shit. But now really isn't the time to jizz over it. And yes, he really is walking. He has a weird exoskeleton suit type thing for these occasions. Because he has excessive amounts of pride. But it's weird and jerky and ... not very reliable. Hopefully it can handle him standing around and hacking stuff for who even knows how long.

Anyway now that that exposition's over, he locates himself in front of a terminal and also puts in an earpiece.]

If you want, but I think we can manage without it. [typing some shit ... ] We're in.

[Meanwhile, Andrew's spamming the comms.] Red Leader, you're good to move. [His professionalism only sorta hides his nerd squee.]

{WAREHOUSE 1-ALL} // everyone - no order, one linear thread slayerdom September 13 2011, 23:23:02 UTC
They enter through the shipping entrance. Buffy, with the help of some others, pushes the door up and gets them under it and inside. It's dark, but they've come prepared -- flashlights, headlamps, whatever they felt the need to bring. For now, they're still moving as a team -- through the single door that leads into the main hallways of the warehouse facility, ready to split up into varying teams.

"Hope you guys remembered to go to the bathroom before we got here, because something tells me you just missed your last chance," Buffy remarked, peering into the darkened hallway, darkening her flashlight against her clothing so that it wouldn't alert any suspicious guards as she began to hustle through. "Everybody clear on where they're going?"

Spike was standing with his team, Zekk and Beck, one hand on the hilt of his new and improved lightsaber. His eyes are perfectly good in the dark, of course, being a vampire and everything, and the flashlights make seeing harder if anything. But he recognizes the necessity for the non-creature of the night contingent. He nods at Buffy.

"We're ready."

{WAREHOUSE 1-A} // Buffy, Jacen, Stefan slayerdom September 13 2011, 23:25:51 UTC
Once the groups had splintered off into their smaller teams, it was down to just Jacen, Buffy and ... unfortunately, Stefan. They hurried through the central halls, Buffy checking doors and trying to peer through the tiny windows to get an idea of what they were moving past. She really shoulda taken a look at those schematics herself.

"So, if you were a secret lab full of skeevy experiments and baddies, where would you hide?" She rounded a corner and quickly backed up, putting her arms out to keep Jacen and Stefan from making the same mistake. Which seemed weird at first, until red blaster shots burned into the wall behind where their heads would have been. "Company. Knew it was looking too good to be true."

Jacen didn't really have experience with Stefan, which wasn't something he was particularly thrilled about, given that he knew Buffy's abilities and limitations quite well. He'd have preferred to be working just with her, but there was nothing to be done about it. He closed his eyes for a moment, extending his senses as he concentrated on letting the Force try and guide him in a direction that might yield them the results they were looking for. Instead, he could sense hostile bodies approaching, and by the time Buffy's arm snapped in front of him, he already had called his lightsaber to hand ( ... )

Stefan stayed near enough but not too close to Buffy. And he hadn't met Jacen before but they were all fighting on the same side. Jacen was doing something and Stefan stopped, glancing back behind them.

"Basement. Behind a locked room." He was being half-serious but he could see it.

Jacen's accidental Star Trek reference amused Stefan. Inside, anyway. Looking front again, Stefan activated his light saber. He watched as Jacen deflected and he tried to do the same while getting an idea of how many were ahead. He thought about speeding past and behind.

Okay, training under Jacen? Cool. Watching Jacen actually make use of all those cool Force-y powers and deflecting blasterfire with a lightsaber? Beyond cool. Miles beyond cool. Buffy watched him with a kind of impressed look, eyebrows raising as she appraised the motion. When Stefan spoke up, she broke the gaze and shot a look at the vampire. It started out hedging on amused and a little lecture-y.

"Right, because that's not even a little cliche. Secret lab in a -- " She stopped, slowing as she seemed to more seriously consider that. "… basement." Well, it was give or take where the Initiative's facility had been. Which officially counted as the only experience she had in the mad scientist area.

"My guess is? We'll find stairs this way." She moved quickly past the stunned body of the guard who'd shot at them. "Let's go - before Stun-Guy's pals start looking for him." No, she didn't plan to explain why she thought that was actually a legitimate consideration.

{WAREHOUSE 1-B} // Riley, Natasha, Xander slayerdom September 13 2011, 23:26:05 UTC
With the groups splintering off, Riley's team was left with one mission: break the code of the security terminal and help Watchtower crack inside of it so that they could assist those who were inside the building as best they could remotely. Which, you know, also happened to involve finding the primary security terminal.

Might be a good idea to ask Watchtower to guide them via those schematics of the building they got.

Our main goal is reaching the security terminal without any casualties. [More specifically, they needed to get there with Natasha in one piece so that she could jack Watchtower into the system, but that pretty much went without saying] That means us or them. No kill shots unless you have no other choice.

I'll take point. Xander, I want you at the rear. I trust you to watch our backs. [This left Natasha in the safest position during the actual trek through the buildings. Buffy made it pretty clear that she didn't want to lose anyone in this, and Riley had to concur, but he also knew their priority was keeping Natasha safe so that everyone else wasn't going into this mission blind.

That said, he opened up a channel on his datapad so that the members of the Watchtower group could do their navigation thing]

We've got two directions to choose from down here. Where am I going?

If only they were playing by the same rules, darling.

[Still, Natasha had agreed to play the 'no shooting' to kill game when she signed up. She'd just be aiming for crippling instead. She had her blasters at the ready, as the most 'secure' position was painfully relative when marching into what could still prove to be an ambush.]

Lead the way.

[ Xander listens, paying close attention. ]

Because I've always been kill shot guy. [ He jokes, mostly to actually deal with the actual situation. He nods to Riley, realizing that he's being completely honest. He trusts him. That's a good feeling. That, and, if anyone is loose skin or -- some other idea that didn't make his body all squiggly, it'd probably be him. ] ]

Aye, aye Ri -- ley. [ He isn't leaving that rhyme sitting there... ]

We play by Riley's rules. Or, Buffy's. [ He holds his blaster close and waits to hear from Watchtower. ]

{WAREHOUSE 1-C} // Spike, Beck, Zekk slayerdom September 13 2011, 23:26:15 UTC
The C-team gets the hardest mission. Mostly, because Buffy knows she can count on them to deal with the security long enough to actually carry it out. Once they've diverged from the main group, their job is to scour the building. Raiding lockers, surfing computers, requisitioning datapads and hard copies of shipping orders and other incriminating files. But, of course, that means they have the most moving to do. And, it also means they have the most nasties to run into on the way.

Careful, boys and girls. It's pretty dark in there. You wouldn't want something to crawl out and bite you.

Spike's got his lightsaber out, though it's not on right now. He's sure danger will appear at any moment, and though he isn't exactly scared, he's definitely on guard. Mysterious warehouse run by nasty people. You know how it is.

They reach the first room and he holds up a hand for quiet. He can't hear anything unusual. He cautiously pushes the door open and looks around. For now, the room is clear.

"All right. We'll start here. Let's start looking. Five minutes, if you can get through everything in that time. Don't stop to read, no matter how interesting, we can look through whatever we get later, all right?"

Zekk nods, his lightsaber coming on with the characteristic snaphiss that he's been accustomed to for over a decade now. "Grab and run is the strategy then?" There are worse ones and there isn't really time to be too thorough here. Any evidence is good evidence.

Carefully, he slides the orange blade into the lock of the nearest locker, waiting for it to swing open. Medpac, credit chip, datapad.

"It's too dark to really read anything anyway." And it likely wouldn't make sense to her, so Beck's just going to grab anything that looks like it will be particularly helpful.

The plan sounds easy, in theory, but she knows things rarely go according to theory. Her vibro-sword in one hand is a small comfort; she's more ready to resort to fire if anything happens. Whatever she has to do to not let anybody down.
