So, you remember that whole apartment-hunting adventure that I mentioned earlier and got totally sidetracked by broodsville and slayage?

[Sup, B'. Just... you know, be wherever Faith is right now. It's possible that post-rescue mission, she just dropped by to show off battle wounds or brag about what a GOOD Slayers she was being. Either way, boots are coming off as she glances up at her.]

Yeah, I remember the subject got skipped around while you briefed me on the Angel 'sitch. [One boot off. Regular Mister Rogers over here.]

[ Look, she just shows up in Faith's life, we entered mid-scene so that I could avoid coming up with rationale. ]

Well, Xander had an idea. More like ... Xander and Anya had an idea and they beat me over the head with the logic stick until I caved and we did more hunting. In a together-ish capacity. Which is now extended to a wider range of ... togetherness.

Any chance of breaking that lease of yours?

[The second boot gets dropped to the floor, her elbows moving to rest against her knees to glance up at Buffy with a slight glance of "oh, you are gonna hear a lot of things you are not gonna want to hear from Anya and Xander"]

As in the lease that I never signed when I got kidnapped here? I mean, I've met one of my roommates and he was kind of... well, pretty easy on my eyes.

[Faith is considering it though, mostly because she'd rather not be in the 'as provided' place that she showed up in. She'll shift to lean back in that casual manner, giving Buffy a look.]

So you're seriously considering asking me to... what? Be the brunette for Three's Company?

{XANDER}

[ He's done a once-over of the apartment and he's coming back out from one of the rooms into the living room. ]

So, I'm guessing it's Buff, Faith, or Ahn with the walk-in closet. You know, cause Spike and I are all with the clothes having but not as many....never as many as -- well, yeah. And, there's a room with a window that's not budging so that's on my list of things to get to. All in all, I think it's space home.

Walk-in closet, in-suite bathroom? Maybe it's just me, but this just screams "Buffy's room." [ She leans through the door, looking around and then turning to look back at the others with an innocent shrug. ] ... What? Not poltergeisty screaming. [ A beat. ] I mean, I hope there's no poltergeisty screaming, 'cause that'd put a serious damper on homeness.

Or maybe it'd be like a housewarming gift. Some people settle for blenders or coffee makers ... Scoobies get poltergeists. All the better to make us feel at home with.

Does it? Gotcha. Buffy's room is claimed. That leaves four unclaimed rooms, people! Now, I will be gentleman for ... an unspecified amount of time but there is one room that has the viewiest of views and I am eyeing it. That viewing room.

Which sounds really wrong. Stating it now, nobody who lives in this apartment is allowed to die.

Except maybe Spike because he wants to be Tyler Durden.

[Guess who just popped out of the very room you were JUST talking about, Xander.]

I'll take that one. [Gestures over her shoulder.]

It's got a wicked view. [Prison Girl wants a view that isn't a brick wall.]

{XANDER} // LATER THAT DAY...

[ Xander's got a few bags with him. He's grabbed enough for a feast. A mini scooby feast, anyway. Even though he'll probably ending up pouring what look like chips into a bowl. But, he's grilled steaks before. Not that...he knows what meat he's picked up. ]

[ Buffy is hauling the king-sized heavy-ass trunk that is her weapons chest up the stairs and into the apartment. And yes, even supergirl Buffy is having to exert some effort on it. This is what happens when you don't unload a trunk before you move it around, because it's the same as other furniture. It's just the smart thing to do. ]

Anybody else found themselves in serious possession of way too many weapons since coming here? It'd probably be easier to just stick 'em all in -- [ ... She still has Spike's lightsaber. She stops tugging the trunk and stares down at it. There is ... no good way to avoid this. ] -- a closet. We should put them in a closet. That closet. [ She points to the linens closet. ] It looks weapon-ready.

[perspectiveguy]

[ Man to the rescue! And by man, he means Xander! He is there at your side Buffy, ready to help haul your ridiculous amount of space weaponry. ]

Most closets look weapon-ready. And hey, some people have a coat closet for guests, we have a weapon-ready closet for ... weapons.

[slayerdom]

And considering who our friends are, I'm sure they'd prefer the weapons-closet. I'm sensing a plan here. [ She lifts up one end of the trunk. ] Help me out with this?

[perspectiveguy]

[ Oh, right. To be helpful, one has to ... help. So, he crouches, and helps with the holyeffingcrap, liiiiiifting. ]

Gee, Buffy whadya have in here, a dead body?

Anya } Some late afternoon/evening-ish time

[Anya comes carrying all her stuff on a repulsor lift dolly cause that's what happens when your mun's just read a ton of Star Wars books. You suddenly get to use things with cool Star Wars names that make lifting shit easier. Anyway, she's got a few boxes since she's already moved her furniture earlier in the day. She brings it up to the apartment and towards the room she has claimed as her own.]

Hey there, box lady. Need a hand with the lifting of heavy things? [ A beat. ] Or ... things in general.

[Anya nods vigorously and pushes the dolly towards her.] Yes, the boxes on this are heavy, and you have superstrength. Help me unload it!

[slayerdom]

[ Oh. This went from helping to doing for her pretty fast. Buffy's expression deflates as she takes one of the boxes as the dolly is shoved at her. ]

I'm beginning to think maybe we should have a conversation about the meaning of the word "please." [ Still, there's a wry smile there and she turns to carry the box into Anya's room. ]
