Lindsey had been avoiding Lilah's calls for a reason, and so he was pretty damned pissed when he saw who was waiting for him at his new and supposedly secret apartment. It put him on the defensive, seeing as how he'd tried to keep the move on the downlow.

Great, just great.

He stalked up to his door, glaring up a storm at her.

When he swiped his keycard and typed in the passcode, he made sure she couldn't see what he was inputting.

"What the hell are you doing here?!"

Like a bottle of booze was gonna make him forgive and forget.

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as she followed him inside of the apartment. Here he was stomping around like he was the one still wronged here. Even after what had happened that night in her apartment when he had broken in.

As far as she was concerned, they were even. Or as even as people like them could ever be, anyways.

"What? You aren't happy to see me?" She asked in a feigned, hurt voice. She wasn't answering his question just yet. But she'd get to it soon enough. After all, she hadn't come here just to mess with him.

Though she'd be lying if she said that wasn't part of it.

"You know, I shouldn't be surprised you were able to track down my new place. You always were good at digging around in other people's business." He tossed jacket at a sofa chair and moved to get a drink for himself. There was no way in hell he was touching what she'd brought. He wasn't that gullible.

"Stick around long enough, you'll get to meet my new roomie." Have a faintly cruel smirk in return, Lilah. There were still things he knew that she didn't. Ways to unnerve her, no matter how petty and subtle.

"What can I say?" She said with a smirk on her lips. "It's always been a talent of mine." One that had been an asset more than once back home. Staying ahead in Wolfram and Hart meant constantly digging around in other people's business. There were few people who worked there that she didn't have some kind of file built up for.

"I didn't think anyone liked you enough to actually want to live with you," She chirped back with a cruel smirk of her own. He had gotten the upper hand last time, she wasn't going to let it happen again.

She made her way to where he kept the glasses, grabbing one. Since he wasn't going to drink any of what she brought with her, she might as well have some herself.
