Giant turtles? Have they really got those kinds of legs?

They're bendier(?)...it looks like they scuttle around on the sides of their feet...
The book says they can weigh 600 pounds!

Scuttling 600 pound reptiles? They exist? And they haven't taken over civilization yet?

[underlining "yet" and adding a smiley just beside it.]

If the photos are real! I really want to see one

Who used it? What are you talking about?

One of the library people
He meant mute not stupid, but I don't that word at all

Oh. [pause]

Did you ask him not to use it? [pause again, then written a little quicker] You know, write it down or something? If you don't like it you should let the guy know.

No it's okay
People don't use it a lot talking about me (it's just strange when they do)

It'd be nice if it just meant one thing or the other though, I think...

What's wrong with that word?

It's okay if it just means one thing but I don't like being called dumb (because it means stupid too)

zealouspeter November 17 2009, 00:25:27 UTC
Why did someone call you it?

It was because I couldn't answer them right away and had to set things down to write...He didn't mean stupid so I'm not mad about it

Oh! That's nice! I think the turtle is cute, but I like them both very much.

Thank you :)
(Scales are fun to draw)

You're very welcome!

I don't draw them very often, I end up drawing leaves more than scales.

But I should give it a try. I don't remember the last time I drew something scaled.

The pictures in the book I was using are really good...Lots of aligators and lizards and snakes
I didn't check it out so you could look at it whenever you want :)
It's called Learner's Guide To Reptiles [beat.] (I forget who wrote it)

Nasty word, ain't it?

unlikefather November 17 2009, 00:19:04 UTC
I don't like it either way but it's just confusing sometimes...
It doesn't sound much fun to say either (but I don't know for sure)

cowboy_newsie November 17 2009, 00:20:31 UTC
Nah, ain't too fun to hear or say. You ain't missing out on any. Why'd the librarian even have to say it in the first place?

He was asking if I needed any help and I had my hands full. So I had to set everything down and write No and he asked if I was dumb
I felt a little worried he meant the other one for a minute
