Oh. [pause]
Did you ask him not to use it? [pause again, then written a little quicker] You know, write it down or something? If you don't like it you should let the guy know.

No it's okay
People don't use it a lot talking about me (it's just strange when they do)
It'd be nice if it just meant one thing or the other though, I think...

So? Even if it doesn't happen often, the guy probably didn't know it bugged you. It's not a bad thing to correct somebody if they got it wrong.
Words are weird like that. I don't get the point of them meaning the same thing either.

I suppose...but I really don't mind now that I think about it
No harm done :)
I guess some people speaking the same language make up a word for different things? And then it gets around and people get confused...

If you say so.
Yeah, I guess. Or some things change what they mean over a really long time. They talked about that in school.
[Pause] English is weird.

Well, It is.
But you probably wouldn't think so. Most of us don't love the English language enough to give sermons on it.

The man who denied the idiosyncrasy of the English language would be a fool. I'm saying that it's deeply self-evident.

It's weird, it's got a lot of rules a lot of people don't get, and it's complicated. Also it's not the most important thing to worry about.

It's not all that important. As I said. Other things to worry about.

Of course. Similarly, eating is inconsequential; after all, if we stop breathing, we'll die much more quickly.

Yeah, me either. I wasn't ever that great at it in the first place, but still.
