It's not always a mental institution, and some would consider it preferable to prison.

I think you give a short time in an institution too little credit. Many would much rather padded walls to stone ones.

Murderers aren't just released, but sometimes they can receive a lesser punishment, depending on their circumstances.

They give you patients without a clue as to what they've done? That seems a bit counterproductive, doctor.

I know what each patient has done, but I do not know the full details of the case. My job is to determine whether they have the capacity to commit a crime or if they were out of their minds.
