You know what really sucks? Being awoken at 5-something AM this morning by TORNADO SIRENS. Apparently there were "strong thunderstorms with rotation".

I really have more questions than answers on this one:

Why does this warrant a siren?
Did anyone actually see a tornado?
Why do I live in a place that has tornadic activity on January 2nd?

Yeah, I heard about that tropical storm and immediately thought of you. It's funny how I seem to associate all tropical storms/hurricanes with you!

Yeah, dude, I saw the tornado warnings on TV - thought it was so weird - bust hasn't everything been weird lately? It's RAINING here today.

Also, I think the weather people/siren people are always too overly cautious.
That being said, this summer sirens were going off in my neighborhood but I couldn't see anything - the sky was dark but there wasn't even any rain or lightning.
BUT, about a mile away a small tornado touched down and destroyed like 3 homes - so I guess you can't be too safe.

ok, if there were actual tornados that touched down somewhere in the St. Louis area, it wouldn't make me mad. But this whole, we are going to wake people up b/c there might be some tornados? I don't like that. Because you know what? I am going to start ignoring all sirens from here on out...

We had some tornado warnings here too. We don't have sirens here, though I am used to them back home. It's always weird for me though to think of tornados in a big city...
