Concentrating completely on the near-blur of orange fur speeding across the deck, she didn't even notice Harry until she was almost on top of him. And when she did see him, all it achieved was to distract her enough that she tripped over the rope his bag was sitting on, sending both it and herself flying to the deck.
"Oww."
She sat up, looking, rather panicked, at Harry. "I'm sorry, Mr Dresden! I'm really sorry! Was there anything fragile in there?!"

“Tohru, right?” He said, hauling her to her feet before picking up his bag. “It's... nothing. Don't worry about it kid.” He opened the bag and glanced inside. His hand disappeared in and pulled out a handful of shattered chalk of various colors.
“Aww... hell.” He muttered, his mouth in a tight lipped frown.

Standing awkwardly on the deck with her freshly-scraped knees, she looked even more deserving than usual of that "kid". Her inadvertant impression of a five-year-old was only accentuated by the almost comical level of her shamefaced apologeticness as she registered Harry's crushed chalks.
"Oh, no...I'm really sorry, Mr Dresden, I didn't mean to break them! I'm sorry!"
Sometimes it seemed like all she managed to do was cause trouble for people. She bit her lip as Harry frowned at his handful of broken chalk. I'm such a screwup...

"It's alright, honestly. It's just chalk. None of the more dangerous stuff was hurt. It's all good." He smiled, pondering. Bob had been saying he needed to be more friendly with the other crewmen. He had been staying in his room for the most part, except when Kurt needed him at the helm.
"How about this: You can make it up to me by giving me a hand with someting. Sound good?"
