Medusa sat at the little cafe, sipping the last of her third cup of tea. It had been quite the fruitful day - she's sent her snakes out to explore Melior, and specifically hunt for some of the more...esoteric vendors in the city. She'd found several with arcane stock - tucked away in clandestine stores here and there, operating under a veneer of an odds and ends shop or bookstores pandering to those with an interest in the occult, and so on - and, when they could, she had her little ones snatch the odd component, item, or crystal. She'd been limited in what she could carry on board safely, but after a day or so on the Victoria she had a fairly good idea where she could hide things

The rush of magic was something he would never get enough of. The tingling sensation that made his nerves sing, and made him feel real, more here, He couldn't get enough.

He knew it was changing him, making him something else. And he LOVED it. The less human he became, the better.

But his fasination with his tiny stone ended in disaster as one of his shipmates stumbled upon him.

Minamimoto's head shot up, his tan eyes now a blazing yellow, catching the light like a cat's. They were slitted as well, dilating from surprise. He backed up quickly, a deep growling nosie escaping him. He couldn't help it, he found his reactions hard to control when he was using.

"What?!" He hissed, backing farther into the shadows of the alley until he was just eyes and teeth. "No!! No... I'm fine..."

Caught! Caught! Kill her kill her NOW!! His mind babbled, but he managed to keep control, for now.

The noise, and the color of his eyes, would have worried most people. The intent - the bloodlust she felt from him - even moreso. But Medusa? No, she was thrilled. This crewmate - who was he? Sho? Ffamran had mentioned him, she thought, as he was showing her around the ship - was not a first-time user. He was a *habitual* user of black mana crystals; from the looks of the reaction, for several years

Sho backed up even further, having no idea of the woman's plans for him. All he knew was that she was a threat, if just from her seeing him like this.

When she spoke, he unthinkingly reached up to his face, proding his face with his fingers. The whisker-like slashes on his face were overly warm to the touch. He wasn't worried, not one bit! He LIKED his eyes like this...

"Back off yoctogram. I told you I don't need help!" He snarled, showing his sharp canines.
