He knew it was changing him, making him something else. And he LOVED it. The less human he became, the better.
But his fasination with his tiny stone ended in disaster as one of his shipmates stumbled upon him.
Minamimoto's head shot up, his tan eyes now a blazing yellow, catching the light like a cat's. They were slitted as well, dilating from surprise. He backed up quickly, a deep growling nosie escaping him. He couldn't help it, he found his reactions hard to control when he was using.
"What?!" He hissed, backing farther into the shadows of the alley until he was just eyes and teeth. "No!! No... I'm fine..."
Caught! Caught! Kill her kill her NOW!! His mind babbled, but he managed to keep control, for now.

When she spoke, he unthinkingly reached up to his face, proding his face with his fingers. The whisker-like slashes on his face were overly warm to the touch. He wasn't worried, not one bit! He LIKED his eyes like this...
"Back off yoctogram. I told you I don't need help!" He snarled, showing his sharp canines.

Besides, she'd had precious little opportunity to cut loose with her magic as of late, and she could use the fun. Now, to goad him just a little more...
"No, really, I do not mind. I've worked with this before, I know I can help you get better!"
Following that, she muttered, "Nake Snake Cobra Cobubra." He was close to breaking; she would likely need to restrain him shortly.

Maybe it was the idea, even if it wasn't at all her intent, of FIXING his form. His heritage, as muddled as it was.
He snarled again, the magic energies flexing, tearing at his clothes as he shifted forms to Taboo. He was going to kill this bitch!! He gave a short cackle before diving at her.
He never noticed the spell.

Sho was too focused on her to notice the large arrow that appeared on the ground in front of Medusa, right in line with his leap. The moment he passed over it, he was hurled in the direction it pointed - right back at the wall he had started next to. He crashed into it with a bone-jarring thud; had he looked down at his feet, he'd have noticed that several more arrows now formed an inward-pointing semicircle around him.
Medusa raised her head, looking straight at Sho. Her normal face was gone; she had a slit for a mouth, curled into a smile, and yellow pupils on black schleras. "Yes. Better. More than you are now. Despite how long you seem to have used those crystals...there are many, many things you don't understand about them. I could...help you learn."

Then he noticed the trap she had oh so subtly set for him. That... ingenious bitch
He finally looked up, slightly surprised by her appearance. Surprised and intriged. Was she some kind of demi-humna? Or soemthing more like him?
He smirked, his body twitching and wanting to pace in the tiny space it had. A trapped beast.
"Oh really?" He said, the growl gone from his voice. Now was bartering time. She was a mage of some sort... he was at a disadvantage here.
"Why woud you help me? And what do you know about those crystals?"

"Three years, eh? Well that's one thing you got wrong, lady. But lets just say I'm intrested. How do I know you're not going to backstab me? Disect me maybe?" He cocked a hip to one side, trying to play coy.

Sho did seem to be a veritable font of surprises.
"Regardless...how do you know I won't backstab you? You don't. I could say that, given your potential, I may yet learn something from of this whole ordeal, and as such it is in my best interests not to do so, but whether or not you believe me is up to you. As for dissection..."
She spread her arms wide and said, "Vector Arrow!" A multitude of black arrows - like what you might draw on a graph, rather than shoot from a bow - issued forth from her back; with a double-handed gesture, she sent them flying at Sho. They plunged into the wall behind him, nearly outlining his body, and then were gone.
"...I assure you, if that was my goal, I'd already have done it."

He stood there for a long moment, then relaxed, letting his body flow back to it's more natural from. He could try teleporting out of her trap, but there was a good chance the arrows would block him. He wasn't ready to die today.
He could wait.
"Good point." He whispered, cracking his neck and trying to brush off the threat.
"As for how long, I guess you'll just have to find out..." A practical agreement there. And he had to admit, he was curious...

"Find out? I suppose I could check your blood for corrupted mana residue. Hmm...we can do that when we return to the ship. Though, if you'd like to just tell me...I'll still need some of your blood, but perhaps it could wait a little."
He would need to learn that she brooked very little in the way of games from her test subjects.

This wasn't going to end well, but if he could get some information out of her before he tore her guts out, the better for him in the end. His benifactor hadn't givin him much to work with, and he had been forced to figure this all out as he went. Expermentation after experimentation on his own flesh, searching for that perfection.
Medusa could speed things up for him, but at what risk?
He wasn't afraid of risk.
"Nine months." he finally said, the rage on his face disipating for a cocky smirk

Ah. Well, there were ways to get this information without a blood test - something about that bothered him. For the sake of their alliance, she would put it off for now, but before long, she would need samples. Regular samples.
"Interesting. Come, Sho - let us return to the Victoria II. I believe my room is secure enough for us to run some preliminary tests. On the way back - perhaps you'd care to tell me about your parents? The more I know about you, the easier it will be to both eliminate irregularities in our results and tailor a method of testing to benefit you...and inherited states - diseases, non-human lineage, whatever it may be - can greatly influence that."
She dispelled the arrows around him and restored her normal face, but was ready for anything he might throw at her. She didn't have to change her appearance to use magic, after all.

Once the arrows were gone he relaxed a little, looking down at himself. His coat was ok, but his shirt was tattered, and the seams of his pants had popped in a few places. Damn Taboo form... He sighed, following after her. The idea of 'tests' made him nervous. This was what scared him so much as a child. Being differant. Being a freak.
But he had gotten over that, right? Had even embraced it. So why was he so put off by having it known?
"First Outer Inner Last..." he muttered under his breath, "Going right back to the start..."
"My father is Sebastion Minamimoto." he said bluntly, not looking happy at all. "I don't know my mother."
