Prime was a human.

Prime was a human?!

As the human - HUMAN?! - Prime explained everything, Jean gawked with her mouth hanging open, completely speechless. The suggestion seemed ridiculous, impossible to reconcile, that this man (this rather attractive man, Jean silently noted to herself) and the robot she had grown to know and trust as her Captain were one and the same.

But ultimately, she still trusted him. And so she was not about to question what he told him. Only...

"So - so wait," Jean stammered out. "Then that robot we saw boarding the Convoy, that really was your body?! But if you don't know how this happened, then how..."

How would they return him back to normal?

She let the question hang. It was best to take this one step at a time. They had to focus on getting his original body back first.

Milk had wondered how he would manage to meet everybody at a bar, so this made sense to her. As much as it could make sense, anyway -- but, all things considered...

"There have to be ways to track them down," Kurumi said, standing up and smacking her hand down on the table. "I helped with the head count, and it doesn't look like anybody was left behind, so we can't track it that way, but there's magic for that kind of thing, right?"

Bumblebee had slipped into the inn and drifted to the back room discreetly mingled in among the rest of his crewmates, pants, gloves, cloak, and hat in place. He spotted Pip right away but hung back at the sight of the unknown human. Then that man spoke . . . and Bumblebee thought he felt his jaw hit the grimy wood floor.

Pushing quickly through the crowd, he pulled off his hat and hood, bright blue optics flashing. He was emboldened by the presence of the rest of the crew, knowing that if his revealing himself to this stranger went badly, they'd help. This sounded like Prime - Primus, he moved and spoke just like him - but he . . . had to be sure. He had to be sure!

"Any enemy agent would know that information. Forgive me, but if you really are Optimus Prime, there's some information that only he would know. Tell me . . . who was the best friend of the mech who designed and built me, and what are the names of the six Minibots who came before me."

Yes, there was a trick in that question as well. Only he and Prime would know it.

The room was a rather small one to be housing so many crewmembers. Hex, for her part, was avoiding the close quarters by simply hovering above. After Prime's announcement, however, she couldn't resist getting a closer look, very [Intrigued].

And then she laughed. "Oh, isn't this rich! How absolutely delightful!" She circled over Prime's new body in a manner not unlike a vulture. "I'm so very glad I didn't simply destroy you all! Think of the delightful CHAOS I'd have missed!"

Well, that certainly went well.

Pip couldn't blame them all that much really, for seeing their reactions as they were - after all, he was pretty much disbelieving himself too, at least until Prime properly confirmed who he was when they met. At least none of the other crew also had to witness what he did - if they did, the first mate wasn't that all sure if they could ever take their captain seriously after that.

That aside though, the mercenary was sitting beside Prime, a cigarette on his lips (he had managed to get them while helping the captain get something suitable to wear - thank Erealia he still had some dubloons with him) as he watched the proceedings. He would let the captain deal with the questions that came to him, but he was of course sticking around just to make sure things were okay... and that the crew was fine as well. Things had been hectic enough as they were already, and he knew that they were going to get more hectic soon.

Things had definitely gotten... interesting. And it looked like the crew had plenty of questions about the last several turn-of-events. Nik had his own questions, of course, but they could keep, for now. Let everyone else do the talking, all he needed were orders. If they seemed reasonable, he'd follow them. That's all there really was to it.

He moved around the edge of the room, staying out of the crowd of curious people who were all vying for attention. Eventually he wound up somewhere near the front, on the periphery, where he happened to have a pretty good view of the first mate. He looked okay, if a bit harried. That was good. In all the chaos on the dock, he hadn't been able to make sure the man was okay, and he'd lost track of him after that. For now, he just nodded in the other man's direction. No doubt he'd had a hell of a day.

Pip kept his eye on the proceedings of the questioning as it went on, more than ready to intervene if things started to get overbearing - Prime was still very much new with that... human body of his, and as much as he was taking this well, the first mate was well aware of how easily overwhelmed his captain could be. At least things were still going fine, though... even if it was kind of hectic. But all things considering, that was the least of his worries.

He turned his attention away from that scene for a bit, and his lone eye caught the sight of Nik nearby who was nodding at him. Pip gave a small smile and nodded back, waving as well just to be safe. Despite his harried looks, the mercenary did feel a lot better than three hours ago. For one, at least Prime wasn't gone as he had believed the robot was earlier.

Penelo had questions, she really did. Did that mean that the captain was always a human, locked in the robot body? Did a wizard or a mage cast some sort of strange ritual? How would they get him back into the body? Was that captain going to be stuck as a human?

However, seeing her captain as a human rather than a robot, combined with the bombs and seeing what she had thought was the captain fly off with their ship, apparently abandoning him, had left Penelo at a Beat level of eloquence. She opted to just shake her head and wonder why the strange things always happened to her in silence.

Penelo wasn't the only one who was lost. Utena slipped into the bar just in time to hear Prime's explanation, and it didn't make anymore sense to her. She gaped at him slackjawed before she shook her head.

"I can't believe this..." she murmured. This whole thing was insane.

"I just..." Penelo shook her head again. "I'm not sure how to respond."

"It is strange," she agreed, "But we just can't sit here and wait. The captain's right - we have to do something about this."

"Hey! HEY."

Being stuck in a room where every single person was taller than her was kind of really annoying. But she had something important and useful to say, so the short girl was determined to be noticed. And if that meant shouting loudly, then so be it. She just hoped she wouldn't have to start waving her hands or jumping up and down though, she did have her pride. So determined was she to share her info that it barely registered her robot captain was now a human. Maybe it would sink in later.

"I already said this over the network on Gintoki's journal, but like, I can track the ship, no matter where it goes. I can even tell you where it is right now, if you want me to."

Hellboy was hanging back for the most part, listening and coming to his own conclusions. He heard Sara's comment of consciousness transfer and nodded - yeah, that was the most likely explanation.

He looked down at the little redhead pilot next to him, a little surprised by her words. "Yeah? How so?" It wasn't that he doubted - he just wanted to know. That'd sure as hell make all this easier.

Finally somebody was paying attention. Never mind she'd only started shouting ten seconds. Flipping her hair, Nena turned towards the... big, red demihuman standing next to her? Huh. That wasn't very interesting.

"The journals! A lot of people left their journals on the ship, and I can track their signals, so. It's easy!"

...And yes, she was deliberately vague about how exactly she was able to track them. She saw no dire need to reveal the details of one of her special little talents, and definitely not in front of so many people. Generally, the less people knew about you, the harder they found it to hurt you.

Hellboy thought about that and nodded. That made sense . . . though one point occurred to him. "They'd have to be on, though, wouldn't they? Transmitting a signal?" Though he figured the chances that someone had left his or hers on and broadcasting or something wasn't that unlikely.
