He returned to the arena with the nodachi he had chosen at the start of the tournament for his weapon, which had seen far less action than he would have liked.
He craved victory, a sweet victory after a well-fought battle. But at this point, he would settle for bringing a good fight to a full conclusion.

Hibari stepped into the ring with the tonfa he had picked out as his weapon. The pilot stretched, considered a cigarette, then decided against it. He'd save it for later, either as a celebration of victory or something to take the edge off of losing.
ooc: I-in case this never finishes (likely due to my derp), Hibari's winning this round.

Well, to be honest, he didn't really look like much. Still, Erza knew better than to underestimate someone who had made it this far.
She was armed with a pair of short blades again, going for the safe option against an unknown quantity.

-- wait. She was oddly familiar. Hibari cocked an eyebrow at the other, trying to figure out where she had seen her before.
...Ah, yes.
"You are also on the Convoy, are you not?"

The thin man looked rather familiar. She didn't think they'd met in person, though.

This time, no matter what her opponent looked like, she was not going to take them anything but seriously. She had made that mistake last time and it had nearly cost her the match, there was no way she was going to do it again.
With her fighting gloves and switchblade, the same weapons she had chosen throughout the tournament, the short girl stood calmly, waiting.

Neither way was a man's way to win.
So when Kanji saw his opponent, he met her eyes with a glare. Shame, she didn't look like much, but he hoped she'd give him a good fight anyway. Besides, being a girl didn't mean anything. Kanji knew some really tough girls. "All right, listen up, whoever you are," he declared, swinging his shield around to slam its bottom edge into the gravel in front of him. "You better take this friggin' seriously, you got that? I ain't advancing into the finals by default. So give me all you've got!" He hit his chest with a closed fist. "Don't you dare hold back!"

With the fact that the last match was closer than he'd liked (and the fact that his opponent seemed to use two weapons), he'd picked two swords instead of sticking to one. Certainly, it'd make things much more interesting...
He seemed quite calm as the match's beginning grew closer, with a slight hint of confidence in his stance.

She could afford to be more bold with her moves, her hand and forearm were encased within the guard of the pata. Functionally, it made her blade the longer one, because the tip of his could no longer hit her knuckles or forearm, and she could use the area around the hand itself in maneuvering and pushing his blade.

Of course, along with that, he'd have to test her guard; he attempted to roughly hit Zeetha's blade out of the way, though he didn't expect to actually get an opening. It would be easy enough to try it and quickly back away.
