Olivier knew no one else would knock--half the idiots on the ship would just barge in, and the other half would just leave her alone.

After this long, she would finally see one of her men again. And that group, that one particular group would always be hers. They'd been through too much together; she'd made them what they were: feared universally.

She hated to see them scattered to the winds, but if he was here, perhaps...

"Come in, Miles."

Miles pushed down the handle and entered promptly, closing the door behind him quietly. Standing before her, he looked the same as he always had -- attentive, stoic and most definitely hers. Neither time nor time apart had weathered his loyalty.

"Captain," he said by way of greeting, adjusting his stance so that his hands were clasped behind his back.

You did that on purpose. destinybreaking July 23 2010, 07:01:21 UTC
Slowly, deliberately, she finished looking over the one map she still had out. As Miles stood there, she carefully rolled it up, replacing it beside the other maps in the room.

It was something he would be used to, her going at her own pace; it was something she'd had to squash since coming on board, and she was going to milk this reunion for everything she could.

Finally, she turned to him, head held high. "Good to see you again."

She resisted the urge to embrace him. It just wasn't professional. But dear gracious, she was relieved to see an ally close at hand.

He gave her a nod in response and allowed himself a gentle smile. He wasn't so dependant as to have felt despondent at being out of his element and without his Captain - Briggs men were stronger than that, even through their close feeling of kinship with one another. Even so, he couldn't deny being glad to be back in her company and quite possibly her service.

It felt normal, familiar... right.

"You too, ma'am." He didn't resist his own urge to give her a salute, over-formal as it may have been. "It has been too long."

He dropped his hand to his side and waited to see whether the visit was to be a casual reunion or something more pressing.
