Well, Greed has to say he was pleasantly surprised that the Captain had actually, not only gone drinking with them, but offered to pay for everything. He wasn't sure if maybe someone had killed Isako and replaced her with someone else, or if this were some elaborate prank.

Oh well.

Booze!

Greed walked up next to Isako at the bar and ordered. "Rum, and lots of it." He glanced over at Isako and grinned. This was going to be an interesting night to say the least.

Ugh. Why was he grinning at her like that? Not that it was any different from his usual expression. She was probably giving him one of her own usual frowns right now. That really was the only way to respond to someone like him.

"What?" Isako asked, a hint of irritation in her voice. This was going to be a very annoying night, at least, if she didn't get a drink very, very soon. She would have to remedy that.

"Nothin'" Greed said, shrugging his shoulders. He looked back at the bartender passed him his rum and gave him a nod before turning back to his Captain. He took a generous sip before addressing her again.

"Whatcha getting?" He asked. He wondered if she even had a clue what to get? As long as he'd known her, he was sure he'd never seen her drink, and she was barely old enough to reach the bar anyways. If she didn't know, he could easily direct her to a few good brands she might like.

"I'm still deciding," Isako snapped back, though there was just the slightest bit of hesitation in her voice. But she wasn't going to let him know that she had no idea what she was doing. She had to remain an a captain at all times, even in a sleazy bar like this.

She looked at the bottles lining the shelves behind the bar. Damn, it's not like she could read them from here and even if she could, she had no idea what the alcoholic content of any of them were. She didn't want to get herself completely drunk.

Ikki could totally be of service to his captain. Which was why the bird brain leaned against the bar and waved over the bartender.

"Hey! Barkeep! Give me some beers!" he called out, turning back to his young captain who looked confused. Ikki, the light weight, was already a bit buzzed, grabbed two beers from the bar top, and moved to his captain, placing his arm around her shoulders, laughing.

"Captain! Drink up! It's on you!" he laughed some more. Really he was quite dumb.

What. The. Hell. For a second she didn't even know who this idiot was, before she remembered that he was indeed a part of her crew. See, this was why she never 'hung out' with her crew, because it had idiots like this.

There was also that fact that he was touching her. Not even just touching her, but throwing his arm around her like they were 'buddies,' which they clearly were not.

"Get off me," she hissed, though she didn't even give him the chance to remove himself before she shook him off violently.

"Know your place," she said as she glared at him, "I am your captain and I forbid you to touch me. Ever." Great. This grand idea was already backfiring.

What a meanie. Ikki was just showing the love for his captain, his drunk love for her. Good thing she wasn't a bit older or else Ikki would be showing a bit more than love. Really, he didn't know how to hold himself back, alcohol or not.

"C'mon Captain! Loosen up! It's a party!" he yelled to the group of men all drinking around the nearest table, to which they cheered back at Ikki holding up their beers.

"I even went and got you a drink," he held out an open bottle of beer for the girl. "Drink up!"

Ugh. Why did Isako want to go out drinking again? It would have been better if she had just stayed back on the ship and bashed her head against the wall for a few hours. It would have had the same effect and required less social interaction.

"Fine, just don't touch me," she said, basically dismissing his comment to focus on what was more important: No physical contact.

She stared at the bottle for a moment. Was this really safe to drink? Coming from the idiot, she didn't know... but if it would get him to shut up, then. She grabbed it from him and took the slightest of sips. Was she supposed to feel something now? She guessed it took a bit more than a sip to do it, even for her.

Brook had seen his Captain's notification; while he had various other things - mostly satisfying his paranoia about the talks - to do, he could not pass up a chance to learn a bit more about the enigmatic young lady.

Stepping inside - and no doubt getting a few stares - he walked up to where the crew of the 4423 was gathering, and was slightly alarmed to notice that Isako already seemed irritated, and perhaps...uncertain of something?

Perhaps acting the buffoon would help. Fortunately, his current favorite drink would play right along the lines of one of the oldest bar gags there was...

Brook slapped a bony hand down on the bar, and in a loud, clear voice, said: "Barkeep! A glass of milk, if you would!"

Naoto raised an eyebrow at the curious order shouted from her left, and raised it even higher as she recognized its recipient.

"Ah, Brook?"

She smiled.

"I find it hard in me to be surprised at your order."

Brook clacked his teeth together happily. "Well, milk builds strong bones, and since that's all I've got...YOHOHO!"

The barkeep winced at the pun, but set down a glass of milk anyway.

"It's not all a joke, though. Remember this?" He indicated the slight chip at his temple, from the spar. "Watch."

Brook downed the glass of milk, pouring it carefully into his mouth. Some spilled through and landed on his ribs, but regardless of where it landed, the milk absorbed into the bone like water into a sponge.

He put down the empty glass and looked at Naoto. The blemish on his skull was gone.

"Neat, huh? A lot quicker - and cleaner, if I watch how I pour - than bandages and all that."

Naoto smiled wryly at his pun as he drank down the glass of milk.

It seemed that Brook was a type of person to never fail to surprise.

She was definitely taken off-guard by his healing ability, she didn't have too much experience with demi-humans still and watching something like that was a rare thing for her. Naoto tilted her head to get a better look at his cranium, curious at the effect of the milk.

"..wow. That must be convenient. Ah, and I apologize about damaging your skull in the first place. I'm glad it was relatively easy to heal."

Hijikata did not enjoy socializing. His own company, Souji's, and that of the people he absolutely needed to interact with for work, were typically more than enough. There were, however, times when it was a necessary evil--such as when someone offered to pay for an evening of drinking. He wasn't a heavy drinker, not unless something was bothering him, and hadn't really made a habit of it the way he had of smoking. But he could hold his liquor well enough, and the captain's offer didn't seem like one that was likely to be repeated.

So it came that Hijikata was found at the edge of the bar, hair braided and tossed over his shoulder to keep it clean and out of reach of grabby drunks. His pipe, smoldering gently, rested in one hand as he brought a tall glass to his lips; catching sight of the captain, he raised the glass in a casual salute to her. Only fair to give some acknowledgment to the one who was buying, and even with a bit of alcohol in him, Hijikata knew well enough who held rank and respected that. "Cheers," he muttered, ( ... )

Souji was not a drinker. Nor did he think very highly of those who were. So it probably wasn't all that unexpected that he showed up at the bar only after the drinking was well in progress. Perhaps he'd been up to some mischief, who could say? He had, however, taken the time to scrub himself clean of the dirt he'd acquired at the junkyard, chanced into clean clothes, and brush through his hair, which was hanging loose for once.

He wasn't in the least bit surprised to find Hijikata already at the bar, and smiled to himself before creeping up behind the man. "Hello, Mister Hijikata!" was the only warning the older man got before Souji's arms were unceremoniously thrown over his shoulders.

Without the moment he had to register Souji's voice, Hijikata might well have lashed out. Unexpected touches weren't something he encouraged, but what he encouraged and discouraged never did seem to have too much effect on the boy. He held his drink carefully so it wouldn't spill, trying to shrug Souji's arms off of his shoulders.

"Dammit," he hissed, looking around at the group assembed. It had to be half the crew already, though at least most everyone's attention seemed to be safely off of him. Small blessings. "Don't creep up on me like that!"

Thankfully, Souji was well versed in the fine art of invading Hijikata's personal space. He had to be, in order to avoid getting swatted on a regular basis, really. "I didn't creep up," he replied, undeterred by attempts to dislodge him. "You just weren't paying attention." Unlike Hijikata, Souji didn't really care what people thought of his rather enthusiastic displays of affection.

"When I saw the captain's message, I knew I'd find you here. Are you having fun?" Given the older man's body language, he somehow doubted it.

Okay. So Winry wasn't typically what you would call a drinker. She rarely ever drank, and when she did it was either when she was incredibly upset or incredibly angry which was something she hadn't let herself become in quite some time ( ... )

It was a foolish man who passed up the opportunity for free beer, although Wiegraf had no intention of splurging. Generous as the offer was, becoming drunk in front of people--crew mates, even--fell into the category of "bad idea". Who knew what would happen in a room full of loose minds and tongues? It was best to stay without regret.

Besides, someone had to remain relatively sober in the event the ship caught on fire.

With a mug of frothy beer, the man settled at one end of the bar, propping one foot up against the stool's leg for support. There was another nearby, whom Wiegraf recognized as the first mate, someone he'd never really interacted with. Winry, was it?

Despite the unfamiliarity, Wiegraf found no reason to be impolite. He offered the young woman a curt nod. "Good evening, Miss Rockbell."

Winry inclined her head in Wiegraf's direction when addressed and she pinned name to face pretty quickly. She hadn't talked with the Boatswain very often on a personal basis, but it was her duty to recognize everyone. Wiegraf came quicker than most for she recalled his quick and thorough work shortly after the raid.

She raised her hand in a casual wave and tossed him a smile, shifting around her seat so she was now fully facing him.

"Evening, Wiegraf, how's the night been treating you so far?"

"Fairly well." Better than expected, in fact. Wiegraf actually felt accomplished in first time in, well, weeks. That coupled with the complimentary drinks made it difficult to harbor any complaints.

Hopefully, the same could be said for Winry. "And yourself?" Wiegraf brought the mug to his lips as he regarded the teenager, managing a tentative sip in between words.

Not bad. In fact, it was pretty good as far as beers went.
