Yosuke glanced around nervously around the warehouse, trying his best not to look outright terrified as he looked at the ten plus odd or so people around the place, their magitech limbs and parts more than obvious to the world as it glinted coldly under the afternoon sun. All these people... they looked dangerous, alright, and for one the brunette sincerely hoped that they could finish this up quickly; he seriously wouldn't want to be at the end of one of their attacks.

Concentrating on the music playing in his headphones to distract himself from the fear welling up within him, Yosuke never really properly heard the conversation that was going on, only blinking in surprise when he heard the crew starting to shuffle off to unload the goods they had brought over. The brunette quickly went around to help, trying to recall what the conversation earlier was. Something about pants...?

..."Tightpants?" the teenager muttered out to himself before he cringed at the mental image that came to mind. Oh god, so much do not want there. At all.

Considerably less nervous was Minato, who looked upon the place and people with a mild curiosity. Instead of being afraid, he was wondering about the people themselves, and what stories hid within those magitech limbs. Sure, he understood the danger and was cautious, but he wasn't about to let fear get the best of him. To panic would be the absolute worst possible thing to do in this situation.

He was carrying some of the cargo when he passed by Yosuke and just barely managed to hear the uttered word. He placed his box of parts down and looked at Yosuke strangely for a moment before saying, "What are you talking about?"

Hisagi barely resisted the temptation to grip Kazeshini's handle; while the atmosphere was tense it seemed like no one had drew their weapons. Wordlessly, he nodded at the Captain and started to unloaded one of the many bundles.

Passing by a the pale brunette, he barely suppressed the insane urge to grin under this situation. "Get your mind outta the gutter, kid; the faster we unload, the faster we get outta here."

Yosuke spluttered incoherently at that as he turned around at the question, caught by surprise at the voice that came from beside him - the brunette had been somewhat caught up at the torrent of horrible mental images coming into his head when he had heard that, so it took him off guard for a bit. He glanced around to see his fellow radio ops looking at him with a curious gaze, and then his eyes slid down to note the pair of headphones on him - so he was a music kind of guy too, huh.

"Uh, its nothing," the brunette responded with a shake of his head, about to speak more when the other voice came over - Yosuke turned around again at that, a frown on his face this time as he protested back in turn. "I'm not in the gutter! You're thinking too much!" Honestly, what was with these dirty-minded people. He was hardly thinking of it that way at all, ungh. That would be so gay.

Fox followed the exchange carefully. It wasn’t friendly on either side, the captain’s or the man he assumed to be the group leader. But it wasn’t hostile either, and that put the fox a little at ease. Just a little.

On the other hand, he didn’t know much about these “grinder” characters, and that was never good business. The first impression wasn’t much to speak of either. From the ones he’d seen in the warehouse so far, he couldn’t tell if they were nervous, angry, or just unfriendly.

If he was worried, his face didn’t show it. He kept his thoughts to himself and carted boxes with the rest of the crew.

Dimo kept one ear trained on the conversation between the captain and the Grinders. If there was trouble, he and Jenka should be able to take on most of them. After all, those magitech limbs looked like they'd be fun to rip off with one's teeth. In the meantime, he shouldered the heaviest of the boxes with one arm, the other swinging freely at his side.

"Looks like hyu's paying attention to vhat dey's zaying too," he said in a low tone. "Goot idea."

Hiyori, unlike those two, didn't care to listen to their conversation at all. Instead, she picked up the boxes closest to her with far more ease than a girl of her stature should be able to manage and followed the others, putting them down where they were supposed to go.

She maintained a steady scowl for the whole time, not liking the look of the grinders one bit.

Likewise, Paine wasn't really enjoying the presence of these Grinders, but her face was impassive even as she strolled up to a box and at the knees to pick it up rather than putting the weight on her back. She'd learned the hard way that lifting heavy objects with your back was a stupid idea, especially in heels, which she still wore today. She rarely went without them.

When the girl came close to Dimo after lowering her cargo, she eyed Gearhead, and then the other Grinders very briefly. "Never seen automail arms before," she commented to no one in particular.

Larxene glanced around the warehouse these "Grinders" called their house uninterestedly, wrinkling her nose, but aware that this was an unusual meeting. You could feel it in the air. She only gazed at the glinting metal of the automail for a moment, before narrowing her eyes at the interaction between the captain and what seemed to be the leader in the group of misfits. As newly positioned Quartermaster, Marluxia thought it was a good idea that she should prove herself: she agreed on that, as she wanted to right from the beginning. It was on her to-do list when she found out what type of authority she now held. She was getting bored of the ship as well, so taking this on was more than welcomed. And who knows, she might get to sharpen her knives a little if this turned out to be some fluke. Truthfully, that's what she was thirsting for. She had been rather depraved lately, and she needed a good adrenaline rush. She just had to wait...though patience was not her strong point. This twitched her lips up a little, before she began to ( ... )

Jenka grinned at her in passing. She could easily tell the direction of the new woman's thoughts from her body language, having very similar ideas herself. Sure, it was important to get paid, but to be honest, she was in this for the potential violence much more than anything else. The look she was giving the nearest Grinders made this rather clear. The captain hadn't said anything about looks, had he?

Still, she certainly wasn't shirking her share of the work. She grabbed the largest boxes, and made them look light in her hands. With her Jäger strength, she probably could have lifted one of the loaded mules. Not that doing so would be much help with the unloading, so she stuck to boxes.

Zack had never shirked away from hard labor. As soon the call went out Zack was there helping to carry the boxes to the indicated spot. It was better than just standing around and his usual method of doing squats while waiting wasn't appropriate for this situation.

Still, he kept an open eye out. Situations like these was just ASKING for trouble to come from somewhere.

Hisoka led his mule through the entrance, keeping a sharp eye on the captain for cues as to what was expected. As soon as Reynolds gave the nod, Hisoka began to unfasten the crates from the animal's harness. He hefted the first one up on his shoulder, picked his way across the floor, and deposited it carefully beside the other boxes.

Zoe poked her head - and her gun - around the corner, trying to spy the Captain. She found him quickly enough, his coat was fairly distinctive. She also spotted someone aiming at the back of his head, and dropped him with a shot from the Mule's Leg.

She ducked low, moving through cover to get to Mal. "You sure do know how to pick them, sir," she said as she worked her carbine's lever-action.

"It's a talent," he said, while he ducked behind a crate and cocked his pistol. "Is the ship ready?"

"If it isn't by the time we get back, I'm gonna have some strong words with the crew," Zoe said. "Are we paid?"

Hisoka had just dropped his last crate onto the floor with the rest. When the east door crashed open, he spun around, saw the uplifted guns. He dropped flat. The first shots went over his head ( ... )

At the sudden shout of "police!" Jenka grinned like it the best thing that had happened all day. Which it pretty much was, in her opinion. "Now dot's more like it!"

Sure, the captain shouted at them to run, but it would be good for someone to cover the escape, right? Even if it was mostly an excuse to stick around.

The brown-haired boy, for starters, seemed to need a bit of defense as he ended up struggling with the crate on his way toward the exit. Jenka intercepted a large Grinder intent on taking out anyone in his way as he ran for the door, and bodily pushed him off-course. She ended up taking a bullet in her left shoulder for her trouble as a few of the policemen decided the young man loudly encouraging disobedience of their direct order would be a good target for their first shots. She growled at the pain, rapidly blunted by adrenaline, but didn't seem too bothered by the injury as she looked around for other threats. It wasn't a serious wound. Of course, for a Jäger in the middle of a fight, neither was losing an arm.

{{Don't know if anybody else is joining us so I'll go ahead and post.}}

The Grinder had nearly collided with Hisoka and probably would have run him right over, but Jenka shoved the cyberman out of the way. When the policemen shifted their aim and fired at Hisoka, they hit Jenka, but not Hisoka. This was because he had ducked and started to limp off with surprising speed considering that the ankle turned out to be sprained and wouldn't bear much weight. Also, he pulled his .45-calilber revolver out of its underarm holster and returned some fire: Bang! Bang! Bang!

He kept track of Jenka, too, as she ranged about looking for somebody new to tear into. Jaegers were reputed to be very tough, but he was a little worried about her. When she chanced to be looking his way, he smiled and mouthed the words, Thanks! You ok?

And he was hoping his healing powers would kick in, but damn! they were having an off-day, again!. He wasn't going to be able to flee after all, at least not very fast. Better to join the rear guards. He crouched ( ... )

The good thing about having a sword as big as the buster was that it was good for blocking bullets.

Hearing the sudden shout of 'police', Zack's instincts had kicked in immediately, drawing the buster sword out. His mule had bolted in the ensuing chaos, but Zack had managed to grab one of the smaller crates off of it in one hand, while he blocked bullets with the other using his sword. It was definitely not the best situation to be caught in, but sadly it was not the first time.

Seeing Jenka and the green-eyed boy hotfooting it to the north exist, he followed, dodging and hopping here and there.
