True to his word, Yuri was in one of his usual haunts: the top deck. Normally he spent his time up there because he liked the solitude and the expanse of ship and sky - after being back in jail for so long, he was content just to not have a roof over his head.

It wasn't long before Yuri heard Souji come padding across the deck. After the curt conversation with the younger man over the network, Yuri wasn't really surprised to notice the sword at Souji's side or the tight set to his shoulders that bespoke his confrontational intentions. What he hasn't completely expected was Souji's choice of weapon, or the subtle psychological blow it dealt him.

"Souji," Yuri said in greeting and in challenge. He was armed too, with a sword of his own, but it was out of habit rather than purpose.

"Yuri." He replied, nodding. He almost never called the older man his given name, and never with such a detached air. He'd have to earn his title back... though he didn't address him with any malice. Just... distant politeness.

"Are you alright? They treat you well?" He noticed bruises, but there was no way to tell if they were from the battle that took him, or fresh from the prison. He liked to think the justice system in their shared homeland wasn't so cruel, but he wasn't quite that idealistic to really believe it. Either way, he was concerned and not just putting off why he was here: he didn't wish the man harm, no matter what he did.

"I'm sure you know why I'm here."

Yuri shrugged passingly at Souji's question. Even he could tell it was mostly out of habit Souji asked; like always, he knew where the heart of the matter was.

"You wanna know if I killed Ragou, and if that means I'm just as bad as he was." Yuri met Souji's eye, straightforward but not challenging. He had nothing to be defensive over, no shame in his actions - Flynn had taken care of that, given him someone to prove himself to. After their argument and back in the world now, Yuri was only calm and assured.

Souji nodded, the corner of his mouth quirking up just a bit. Approval, but lacking the affection of a true smile. He was a master of not-quite emotions and the expressions that came with them... he had hoped, to a degree, that his year in Inaba and on this ship had cut out the need for the habit. But times like this called for it more then not.

"Then, do I have to ask?" He replied, unknowingly mimicking Flynn's question from before, but with completely different tone.No acusation, simply a desire to get this done with. He rolled a shoulder before pushing a finger along the bridge of his nose, shifting glasses that weren't there. A tiny nervous habit was all he'd offer Yuri for now.
