There was a sleepy sort of ache that overcame Estelle as she walked the road toward Licere. She'd been directed to the city by a nice elderly couple, having not known in which direction she was heading, but understanding that once she reached it, there'd be a chance to rest. Traveling was wearying for a princess who rarely ever ventured past her castle grounds, but tiredness aside, she was happy

Demyx didn't seem to notice because, right when she sat down, there was a bite on his line! The young man rushed to his feet and yanked the stick from the ground hurriedly. It was a big fish! He could tell! The stick itself was bending, and the string was straining to keep tied to the pole and it's biter. Demyx pulled with all his might, giving a little slack, and then pulling harder and harder, his ankles digging into the sand at the bank.
His body leaned over the water, so far that he could see his reflection. But no! He wasn't going to give up! He had that empty pale at his side to fill up with fish! With a look of determination, he took one step back... and another, gritting his teeth as he pulled with all his might!
While the weather wasn't necessarily hot, or cold for that matter, Estelle felt tired from so much walking, with the sun beating down on her uncovered head. She edged closer to the water, which looked cool and fresh, dipping her fingers into it and marveling at how wonderful it felt. Of course she couldn't drink it (that would be unsanitary!) so the girl leaned forward to cup her hands into it.
But then her knees slipped on the grass, causing her to lose her balance and tumble headfirst into the water with a cry and a loud splash.
His pulling efforts quickly stopped as his eyes widened at the sound of the cry and splash. In that same second, he released his pole, letting it fly into the water. He turned to the source of the splash, seeing the ripples in the deep water in which Estelle fell in. He took in a soft and quick inhale of a gasp before he took a deep breath.
He bent his legs at his knees and sprung up into the air over the water and dived into the water, using his some-what muscular legs and arms to swim towards the young woman who had fallen in. He swam like a bullet, his once perky mullet now tamed by the water as he swam in it. The young man swam up beside Estelle and managed to loop one arm around her waist and bring her head above water, gasping himself as they surfaced and he started to swim towards land.
