Demyx sighed deeply as he sunk his feet in the water at the bank of the lake. That familiar feeling of sand and mud in between his toes were memorable from his days back in childhood. His hand held onto a long wooden stick, which a string was attached to. As he sat on the bank, he lifted the pole over his head, watching the hook on the end if it, with a wriggling worm on it, fly back. Pursing his lips down onto his tongue, he cast his line outward, watching it fly to its full extent of the line, before it plopped in the water.
Demyx smiled and laid back on the bank, watching it for a moment before jamming it down into the moist sand. It would be a while before any fish would be tugging at least. He took some time away from his busy work on the Silvana to get some fish for his own cabin. He could snatch a few buckets of water and store his catch in them until it was time to cook them. He smiled at the thought of cooked fish, licking his lips. Suddenly he missed his mother's cooking. But for now, he was on his own! And secretly, he wished something else would happen on this too lazy of a day.
