Characters: Ffamran and the Winding Way, yes all of it Content: A crusade against Seamstresses Setting: The Winding Way Time: Evening, day after getting into Kropmock Warnings: Woodchucks
Tohru came up the steps from the kitchen, vaguely wondering if Watanuki was back - although she couldn't imagine why he'd be yelling about storks.
Then she realised it was probably something to do with Giselle's journal. "Please don't say that!" she called across to Ffamran. "I only just managed to convince Miss Giselle that there ISN'T a stork!"
Ffamran just sighed and headed up to the ship. "This is apparently my password to get on the ship. I was hoping she could be convinced to calm down, the ruckus on the journals was simply too much."
Giselle had been waiting for this. She raced over, shuffling in between Tohru and Sophie, and peeked over the edge of the rail at the man below -- well, he didn't look like a seamstress, she supposed. Although she wasn't entirely certain what one looked like. Mother had not really explained this to her very well.
She stood up and waved to him, feeling much better now that there was someone here to help. No one else seemed particularly inclined to understand -- it was almost like they thought she was crazy or something.
"Hello Mr. Stork!" she called down to him. "I thought you'd be longer!"
"Ffamran Bunansa," he introduced himself. "I hope this could all be -- calmed down. It seemed you had a bit of a situation of your hands, and I have to admit my curiosity to meet someone so naive."
Okay, this was just getting ridiculous. Ness somehow managed to avoid all the commotion that was caused by Giselle's startling "discovery," but this? This was going to get even more out of control.
Completely breaking his vow of staying in his room for the day, he made his way over to the gangplank and just stared at the stranger in a mixture of disbelief and annoyance.
Watanuki came back to the ship, dead woodchuck slung over his shoulder (apparently they didn't sell them gutted and skinned in this filthy town), to find a man shouting about storks at the bottom of the gangplank.
...This was apparently what happened when he left these idiots alone.
"HEY!" He bellowed up at the figures leaning over the gunwale! "You want to let me on the ship? I have a stew to prepare!"
"Thank you!" Watanuki shouted up at Tohru. "I found the woodchuck!"
He glanced behind him at Giselle's shouts, but saw no one out of the ordinary. "There's nobody after me!" he called up in annoyance. "Who would be after me?"
Carol couldn't believe the commotion Giselle's journal had been creating, ok so part of her could, but it still surprised her to see that the Bunansa kid had hacked into her journal. Carol knew he wasn't coming to the ship to actually help Giselle, and she wondered if he had ulterior motives. She didn't like that he'd been hacking into the WW crew's journals lately, or that he'd been talking to Rikku. Part of her still wondered if he'd ever reported her.
Well she sure as hell wasn't going to let him start any trouble. Regardless of her suspicions Carol smiled as Ffamran yelled. "I thought Giselle was trying to keep the whores out not invite them to the ship."
Ffamran scoffed a little. He'd figured there was a chance he'd run into Carol here on the ship, not something he was looking forward to, but the lure of meeting someone as naive as Giselle was quite tempting.
"I'm hurt, Carol, truly hurt. I'll have you know I've never paid for, or been paid for, it's distasteful. Besides, Ms. Rikku has vouched for me."
Carol kept a small smile on her face, however; not without having to use some willpower.
"Oh so you've made friends with Rikku? She's a nice girl, and a pretty good mechanic. So did your drive to help Giselle build a barrier really bring you to the Winding Way?"
Ffamran shrugged, he didn't particularly want to lie to her, and the truth was hardly terrible.
"To be honest I thought her innocence had to be seen to be believed, on the other hand, I can assure you, as a gentleman, I have no designs, unless she wished them. That seems highly unlikely. I more decided to come because the rest of your crew seemed to be doing a cock up of a job about the whole business."

Looking down, she spotted the person who'd shouted. My, he looks incredibly well-dressed. "Hello! You must be here about Giselle?"

"Yes, I am here about Giselle, hopefully to convince her against --- barricades I believe it was."

Just exactly what had happened while he locked himself away? All he could do was continue to stare.

It was not a good day when Watanuki seemed like a bastion of sanity.
