Characters: Isshin Kurosaki, Nena Trinity
Content: It's the day after Nena returned to the Silvana. She's waking up for the first time, to be greeted by none other then Doctor Isshin Kurosaki.
Setting: The infirmary of the Silvana
Time: Backdated to juuust before the Long Night, in the early evening
Warnings: Um, minimal freaking out? None that I can think of.
Notes: Name's labs are so stereotypical.

It was the smell that woke her up. That horrible, disinfectant smell, one that spoke of sterilization and held the promise of pain. Somewhere, in the state of mind that lay between sleep and wakefulness, she wondered if she had died after all and was now in the place Nena identified as her very own personal hell. To be back there. Back at the lab. It was that thought that completely woke her, the thought that made her want to scream with fear instead of quietly trying to survey her surroundings. Which wasn't easy, seeing as she was lying down, completely still. What she did see, calmed her a little. For while the scent was the same, this place was most definitely not. There was a lack of harsh lighting, for one thing. Almost no matter what time of the day, the place she'd grown up in had always been so bright... Not even the shadows had been spared. Here, there was a normal light off to the side - where exactly, she couldn't see, but that didn't really matter. For another, while she couldn't tell to clearly in the dim, there was still color. Not very much, but a normal, working place amount of it, not a freakish place filled only with white. Those two things were all she needed to reassure herself.

Although it still didn't mean she was safe. The smell still left her uneasy, and while she could now make a fairly good guess as to where she was - the infirmary of the Silvana (hadn't her rescuers mentioned taking her there anyway?) - there was no way to be 100% certain. Unless, of course, she asked the other person in the room with her. Like the light, it was outside her range of vision, but the person's breathing was clearly audible.

"Where am I?" She asked flatly, not bothering to turn her head in their direction.
